"On that note, I hear that Seoul's been having some peaceful times lately."
"They have indeed, ma'am."
The lady on the other side of the phone sighed, her red lips opening in annoyance. "I don't particularly like that."
"Well, that's why I'm here, no?" She could hear the smile in the man's voice. "To cause some trouble and mischief. That's why you decided to invest in us."
She hummed in approval, her nails tapping the edge of her glass table. From where she sat, she could see the hustle and bustle of the city below. People walking about, minds crammed with little thoughts and ideas that often did nothing to the world around them. It irked her to see such weaklings roam about, smiles on their faces when they didn't deserve to be happy.
"I suppose I'll be seeing your work soon," she asked, though it wasn't a question as much as it was a reminder. She hated wasting money on profitless things which is why she hoped this investment wouldn't prove fruitless.
"All the way to Japan, ma'am," the man agreed and she found her own lips pulling up into a devious grin.
"Better be good," she advised, pushing away from the table.
"Of course," he replied, the words ringing through the room as she cut the call. She leaned forward, as relief flooded her body.
She hated peace. She hated the quiet. She especially hated it when a city like Seoul was being kept in order, its monstrosities leashed in to create harmony.
"Now," she murmured, padding on more red powder on her lips. "It's time for some well-needed chaos."
