In the week that Jimin had been missing, Jungkook and Yoongi had been in hell but nothing could compare to the hours that followed Jimin finding his way back home and being taken to the hospital. It was like having someone pour acid on an already open wound. The doctor had sat them down in his office after stabilizing the patient, it was really unprofessional of him to sigh while looking at a patient chart but in all his years as a doctor he had seen pretty much everything and it still did not stop him from pitying the three boys.

"Well Mr Min Yoongi, your brother Min Jimin is a minor and as his guardian we need your consent before we preform surgery on him but before that there are somethings we need to discuss first." There was an air of foreboding and both males did not like it at all. "Jimin has been sexually violated. I say violated to stress the seriousness of this issue, they could be incriminating evidence left by the abductors. If we go into surgery right now he will be in a sterile area not only that the medication will kill all the impurities in his body (not a doctor. Don't kill me if I am not right.), meaning all evidence will disappear. Not all victims want to take this step and have to relive everything again but since he is still unconscious and cannot make this decision himself, we need your consent to collect and document evidence. Again I want it to be clear that unless Mr Min himself gives consent the evidence collected here will not be used."

Yoongi had thought that sexual motives may have been involved in the kidnapping of his brother but still... hearing that his brother had actually been raped was another thing all together. He signed the papers with trembling hands. The doctor then notified another doctor to continue with the procedure. "Now for the reasons for surgery." The doctor continued after the first papers had been signed.

"Jimin has suffered trauma in most areas of his body indicating that he has been tortured for probably as long as he has been missing but the most concerning one is his left knee which has been severely damaged. The blisters on his feet indicate that he had walked for a long time on such a bad injured knee. The pain would be unimaginable but walking did more damage. We will be doing a total knee replacement in which case he can be back to full function in about a year to a year an a half with physical therapy. There is no guarantee that they will be no pain. In the worst case scenario we will have to use bone cement between the two the joint to ensure that the implants stay in place in which case Mr Min will lose most mobility to his knee." (Again not a doctor but my uncle has had a somewhat similar surgery and he can't bend his knee, he can only bend it like 20% at most.)

Most people would be happy with this outcome, not having to amputate the leg was already good enough but to these two it was the opposite. "N--no No! Doctor please! Dancing is my boyfriend's life, if he losses his ability to dance after everything he will die! Please I beg of you try not to use the cement." Jungkook was well aware of what dancing meant to Jimin. When the brothers lost their parents and Yoongi got hospitalized for depression, dance was the only thing that held Jimin together. It made him strong. He also had a dance scholarship to a performing arts school where he was suppose to start in a few months. The doctor was also human he understood their difficulties but also because he was a human that he could not make certain promises. "We will do the best we can."

Jungkook became gloomier the more he thought about it either way his boyfriend was going to lose the scholarship only difference was that without cement he would be able to start again. Yoongi was so defeated he could not say anything, he wished desperately to trade places with his brother to be the one who had experienced this unimaginable tragedy. A knee replacement would be nothing to him but to his brother it was no worse than a death sentence. 'Mum... dad. I have failed to protect Jiminie. I have failed him as an older brother. What am I going to do? How am I suppose to keep him going?

The wait during his operation was a nightmare. It was like they was doused in cold water. Both deep in thought neither with a way of getting themselves out. Jungkook could not help wondering where it had all gone wrong. Just a little over a week ago they had been so happy. Had they used up all their happiness? That can't be it! He wanted many more years with Jimin and even if it killed him he would.

He could not help reminiscing about the good times. The most dominant memory was of when he first met his boyfriend. It had been like a scene out of a movie. An angel literally walked into his life.
