CHAPTER 4

When Jungkook fell in love he changed all plans they had made together with Taehyung. He no longer wanted to go study abroad instead choosing to stay in country A (I don't want to name any counties so I am just going to call them by alphabet) to be with his boyfriend. Taehyung did not want to leave his best friend and crush behind so he stayed as well but it was a grueling year for him seeing the lovers. Jungkook had never smiled like that to him, he never went truly out of his was to please him like he did for Jimin.

No matter how much he wanted to... even he could not deny that Jimin made Jungkook very happy, he had changed him for the better. It was clear that Jungkook had found his better half and so Taehyung admitted defeat and left. "Why do you have to leave? How is my son inferior to that insignificant little nobody huh? Son... don't leave! If you really want Jungkook, mummy will make it happen. I will give you what you want just don't go!" Mrs Kim tried everything to keep her son with her but he was determined to leave."Mum I just need distance and time. I am sure I will get over him sooner or later." It pained her to see her precious baby being so heartbroken.

Seeing that his mother's determination had not cooled Taehyung continued, "Mum there is nothing you can do, Jungkook loves Jimin and Jimin is a very sweet guy. I just need a little bit of space to sort out my feelings." He was sad even as he said this but this was a battle he could not win. "But baby S country is not a little bit of space. It would take days just to travel back home! I can get you a transfer to B country, how about that?" She got a head shake to deny this suggestion and so she watched her son leave with a broken heart. "Find out everything you can about this Jimin. He dares to steal my Taehyung's future husband and make him leave home?! I will not be a Kim if I let this slide!"

A whole year passed and Taehyung was finally free of his lifelong crush. It was not an easy thing but he did it, for his sake and for his best friend's sake too. In that time he also realized that what he had for Jungkook was only a crush, he liked him very for sure. He spent a full ten months without talking to Jungkook not that the later did not try to contact him, he did... everyday of the ten months and when Taehyung finally answered his call he could not have been any happier. He had thought Jungkook would be mad or yell at him or even eventually stop calling but he didn't. It made him happy and realize how much their friendship meant.

Their friendship became even stronger after that. Taehyung even invited the couple to come visit him even though they had not had the chance to come yet. He even talked to Jimin from time to time on the phone too when he was at Jungkook's on video call. Even he understood why his friend liked Jimin. Getting to really know him without any prejudice proved that he was like a happy pill. You could not help but smile when he smiled. Although he had never really hated Jimin, he had disliked him and he felt guilty about it. He had not started yet but he has open to the idea. If he found someone who invoked the kind of love that Jungkook had for Jimin in him then he would definitely date the guy.

A few weeks later when Jungkook called to say that Jimin had been kidnapped, he was shocked and he wanted to be there for his friends but he was in the middle of final exams. No matter how much he wanted to be there, there was nothing he could do but keep in constant contact to keep updated and keep his friend's morals up. For two days he was unable to get in touch with Jungkook and then they just kept missing each other but he was aware Jimin had been found and that he was in very bad shape. The good news was that he only one more week of exams and then he would be able to go back home to support them. He was terrified that he would lose his friend. Jungkook loves Jimin to the point where he would die with him. He was scared to see the kind of state Jimin would be in. Jungkook had oly told him that he was in very bad shape but did not give specifics.
