CHAPTER TWELVE-INNOCENT EVIL

Zein's P.O.V

One month has already past. Our days in this hell school has never been good but luckily were still  alive.

"You know, what? They are kinda nice to us," Vanessa said while looking at the students who are greeting us.

All the students of HU are smiling and talking to us. The Supremo ordered them to be nice to us. Even though i know they are forcing themselves.

" Just let it be. You will get used to it," i said.

We go to the library. I promise Vanessa i will go with her to the library with her to help her research for her assignment. Mia had a headache so she stay in the dorm. Are male friends, roam around the school.

When we enter the library, i saw the old lady, the librarian. She was grinning weirdly. I avoided her and look for a place to seat. After we put down our stuff, Vanessa had began searching a book for reference. I wait for in our seat while roaming every corner of the library. It's like an ordinary library, there are poster saying "Silence" and a few students.

"You are Zein,right?"

I almost jumped from my seat from fright when i saw the librarian close to my face. She still has that grin look.

"Y-yes," i lowly answered.

"The news are true. You got the position that fast and also the ninth place," she said while looking at my uniform.

I was still shocked looking at her. I notice she has long curl and white hair. Skin have already wrinkled and had a thick glasses. Her nameplate was place in her left chest. It was written "Leanora."

"Its like it repeats itself. I hope..." she said. "I hope this time, you succeed."

"W-what do you mean?"

"She's your friend right?" She pointed at Vanessa who seems to find the book she was looking for. "Do they know?"

"About what? What are you talking about?"

"They are studying hard just to join the Highest 10 and leave this place. But what about you, you are already one of the Highest 10. What are you still doing here in this hell place?" She laughed quietly.

I swallowed to realize the meaning of studying well.

"You know the truth, right? Do you believe those stories?" She ask. "You already know there's wrong to each of the stories you've heard, Zein. No one is going to help you other than yourself. Don't trust anyone even your friends. If you did, everything might repeat itself. Be careful, child." She turned back and sat down to her table.

I still didn't understand what she said. But i will trust my friends no matter what they about them. She's just distracting me. I'm not gonna listen to them i will trust my friends only.

"Hey, what happened to you? Why are you in daze?" Vanessa ask as she sat down on the seat opposite to me.

I just shrug and watched her do her thing. They will not betrayed me, and i will not leave them alone, i promise to myself.

"Vanessa, do you really want to leave this place?"

She frowned at me. She raise a brow and gave a weird look at me.

"What kind of question is that, Zein." Vanessa answered. "Why, do you not want to leave this place?"

My heart tightened to her question. No matter how much i want to leave, i can't leave. They will not let me leave this place alive. No matter what i do, i will only rot in this place. I can't breathe properly so i say goodbye to Vanessa to go out to breath in fresh air. She is still not finish researching her assignment so she gave a pout.
