"Give me the goddamn keys, Hoseok!" You thrashed against the wood of your bedroom door, angrily thumping your fists against it in an attempt to force it open. "You can't keep me locked up in here! Hey, you asshole! Let me out!"
From beyond the door, you heard Hoseok sigh, and could only imagine the guilty expression on his face. You hoped he was feeling guilty. He should be, after what he's done to you...Asshole. "Y/n..." He spoke softly, sadly, and you knew that he wasn't quite guilty enough to let you out just yet. "I can't...I don't want you to get hurt, and this is the best way to keep you safe. I'm sorry."
You groaned in irritation, delivering a harsh kick to the wooden frame. The door shook, but withstood your attacks. "I'm not going to get hurt! Nothing's going to happen, so let me out!"
"If I let you out, would you still try and go with us on this mission?"
"Well duh! Why do you think I want to be let out so bad? Please, let me out! I've come with you before! I promise I won't cause any trouble!"You opted to go for the whining approach, hoping that it would finally convince the male to release you.
"Oh, yeah? What about that man you attacked, huh? You caused trouble ther-"
You kicked the door again, successfully shutting him up. "I bumped into him, Hoseok. That's not causing trouble, that's a clumsy mistake. It's not my fault that-"
"And what if you make another clumsy mistake while we're on our mission? That can't be fixed, Y/n. This mission's not like the others. It's going to be dangerous. I can't let you come. I'm sorry." You didn't even get the chance to respond before you heard the soft pattering of his footsteps grow further and further away. He had left. He had left you all alone, locked in your goddamn bedroom because he didn't want you to follow them.
Hoseok has always been protective of you, but this was a whole new level. You had missed lessons because Jungkook was busy preparing for the mission and Hoseok didn't want you out alone. It was ridiculous. You groaned out your frustration, deciding to disturb people until someone came to check on you again, and maybe then you could try and get out.
It had been about half an hour before you even heard someone nearby. You were fairly sure Hoseok had ordered everyone to stay away from you- the prick. However, now that you could hear footsteps- even faint- you had to coax them over. So, you decided to use a tactic you knew would work: you screamed.
Just as planned, the footsteps grew closer and louder until they stopped outside of your door, frantically knocking and shaking the door handle. "Y/n!" Jungkook shouted, clearly alarmed. If you didn't have a clear goal in mind, you would've dropped the plan right then just to reassure him. "Y/n!" His shout carried even more worry now, and you knew that his breathing was getting too heavy by the way his voice shook. You still didn't answer, instead choosing to finish off your performance with a loud whack to the floor, followed by the weakest sounding groan you could muster. Jungkook's onslaughts to the door paused momentarily, before there was a loud thud, and you saw that the door had opened. Jungkook had kicked the door down.
He ran over to you with an urgency you weren't quite sure was possible, engulfing you in his arms tightly. It took him a few moments like this, where you could hear the way his heart pounded in his chest, or the way his breath was finally beginning to relax, until he finally figured it out. "Hold on..." He pulled his face away, glancing over your form. "You're...you're fine. Oh god. Hoseok's going to kill me..."
You laughed, pushing his arms away from you abruptly and rushing away. You paused at the door frame to turn and shoot the male a light smirk, sinking teasingly. "Sorry, Kookie! But thanks anyway!" With that, you darted away before he could stop you, ignoring his yells of protest. For now, you had to hide. And then, you could go on a mission!
