Secret Affiliation

01. morning

The loud alarm from her phone woke her still sleepy senses. She opened her eyes and was strucked by the sun rays streaming through the windows despite the curtains covering it. Her entire body is still tired due to her CF filming yesterday which finished past midnight already. She only had a few hours of sleep and would want to stay in bed all day but what choice does she even have.

She has a schedule this morning together with the other girls, which means that she needs to quickly finish her morning duties in order not to be scolded.

Our sched is on 9am. Its still 6am. I still have time. She thought.

Joohyun jumped right out of the bed and arranged her pillows and comforter. She headed to the bathroom, did her routine, got dressed and went outside of her room. Her room for a couple of months now.

She opened all the heavy curtains to make sure that the light from the sun will reflect inside the entirety of the apartment. This would also make her feel more awake. She looked at the breathtaking view right before her eyes. The sunlight illuminating from the waters of the river and the beautiful sky radiating streaks of oranges due to the sunrise from the horizon. She's been seeing this view for months now but it still captivates her every time.

He surely did pick a wonderful place to live in.

Joohyun then headed to the kitchen and wore her apron.

In the kitchen, she prepared for their breakfast. Bowl of rice, fried bacon, rolled eggs, and Americano for his meal while clubhouse sandwich for hers.

Just when she finished setting up the table, the other door opened and there he came out with only his pajamas and tank top on while yawning.

Joohyun glanced at him before heading to the kitchen sink to pile up the used dishes.

He always look damn good every morning and she doesn't understand why. That's unfair. She silently cursed under her breath and continued piling the dishes.

He walked towards the dining table and settled on the seat where the food Joohyun cooked for him was placed before him. Speaking of Joohyun, she is doing the task that is supposed to be his' once again.

"Yah, you don't have to arrange that. I'll be the one to clean the dishes anyway", he said in his deep and sleepy voice. "I can do that, don't worry. Just sit down here."

Well, he's actually right. It has always been like this every single day where she'll be the one to cook for them and he washes everything Joohyun used as well as their dishes afterwards.

"Good morning by the way." he said.

"Okay okay." she answered while chuckling. "Good morning too."

She took of her apron and hanged it on the side before heading to the dining table and sat on the chair infront of him.

"Let's eat." she exclaimed and then they started eating.

"You're eating only that again? That's what you also ate for breakfast yesterday." he asked her while munching on his food.

Joohyun swallowed her sandwich first before answering. "Well, unless I don't want to gain weight, I would have to stick on this. Or else, they would scold me. You already know whose the 'they' i'm talking about, right?"

He shook his head, "That is honestly ridiculous."

He put down his chopsticks and stood up. Joohyun was taken aback and looked at him.

"Where are you going?", her eyes followed him.

He walked towards the kitchen and opened the refrigerator, "If you're seriously gonna stick on that, you need to have this." He grabbed some fruits and greens then washed it before taking out the blender.

"Smoothie?" Joohyun asked.

He nodded. "Yup." And took a sip from his Americano.

He started mixing the ingredients until it was smooth and well-combined. He was so serious transferring the smoothie into a tumbler which made her smile. Cute.

With the tumbler in his hands, he returned to his seat and handed it to her. "It tastes good, don't worry. And its healthy", he then winked at her and continued his meal.

Joohyun knows its good. She knows the taste of this one since this was actually his favourite smoothie. Drinking this used to be his breakfast before she started cooking heavy meals for him during mornings.

Joohyun asked him about his schedule for today. He shared that they'll be having a meeting this afternoon together with his members and their label's executives for his group's much-awaited comeback after a 2 year long hiatus. Joohyun also talked about her schedule with her members and that she'll be picked up this morning by their manager and the girls.

She was almost finished on her food when her phone rang from the incoming call of her manager. Joohyun quickly stood up and placed her plate on the sink.

"Manager?" he asked while he's down with his last spoon of rice

"Yeah, they are probably downstairs." and rushed towards her room to get her belongings. She returned to the dining and grabbed her phone and the smoothie. He's already up from his seat and was wiping the table and was stacking his dishes. She showed the tumbler to him.

"I will just drink this on the way. Thank you for this."

She then lightly hugged him before heading towards the apartment's door when she was called by him to get her attention.

"Joohyun! Get rest in between the breaks, okay? I'm worried. You're still my wife after all." he exclaimed with a stupid grin plastered on his face.

She heartily laughed because of what he said. "Take care of yourself too, hubby!" while waving at him with a beam of smile on her lips.

"Bye Joohyunie!"

"Bye Donghae oppa!"

Their exchanged goodbyes before the apartment's door was shut.

Joohyun, still grinning, headed down to the lobby by the elevator and graced her walk towards the entrance of the huge apartment complex.

She saw their van parked right outside the entrance.

I still have a long day awaiting. She thought before getting inside and greeted the manager and her beloved girls.
