HANA
"So what's the deal with that Yoongi guy anyway?"

My eyebrows were knitted together, staring at the boy with the messy brown hair. "Huh?"

"What's up with him? Why is he so obsessed with you?" he said, looking almost annoyed. I smiled at him.

"Jungkook, he's not obsessed with me."

"Are you kidding? The dude is blowing up your phone, texting you constantly. He is taking every single chance he gets to be with you. Come on, he literally showed up at our college even though he never even went there," he counted on his fingers as he listed everything.

He was right. Yoongi met me in the corridor, gaining stares from everyone who walked past. He had tried to kiss me again then, but Jimin conveniently came along and stopped it. Yoongi really did want to see me, it seemed like. He kept asking to meet up, but I was getting unsure. Unsure of my feelings towards him, and Namjoon, and even Jungkook at this point. When I first met Jungkook, he asked me out, and I turned him down. I made him think that I didn't like him that way, but the truth was I had no idea. I didn't want to ruin the friendship we were building.

"Yeah.. he's been trying to get with me for a while now huh," I said, faking overconfidence. Jungkook flashed me a grin. "If I remember correctly, YOU were the one trying to get with HIM," he teased.

A slight pout was forming on my lips. "Not anymore," I said. "I guess I've kind of realised that he won't make me feel better about the breakup, but even worse. Kissing that guy isn't gonna help, no matter how hot he is." Jungkook frowned when I called Yoongi attractive, which brought a smile back on my face. "Are you jealous, bunny?"

He ignored my teasing. "What happened with your ex? You haven't told me yet."

So I told him everything. How Namjoon and I were together for 2 years, and how he cheated on me a total of 6 times during that time, how the last time he cheated was the worst, his revenge towards me for arguing with him about the other 5 times, he slept with my ex-best friend just to hurt me.

"What an asshat, how the fuck could someone-" he said as he clenched his fists on the table. I just chuckled slightly at his choice of words. "I'm so sorry Hana."

I sighed as I gathered Jungkook's plate and mug, and got up. "I should get back to work, my break is over. Thanks for checking in Kook," I said, flashing him a smile.

I was running out of money, and had to get a job on the side. Taehyung had insisted on paying for my part of the rent, but I refused, so now I had a job at a diner just down the street.

He smiled back. "Anytime, Hana."

. . .

Exhausted, I shut the apartment door behind me. These extra shifts were killing me. I was gonna save this money, not going to parties every other weekend like I had before. After all I was no longer pursuing Yoongi. Sort of.

I opened the text. "Speak of the devil," I mumbled with a huff as I sat down on the couch.

YOONGI 19:03
i'm guessing taehyung told you about my past

ME 19:05
what?

YOONGI 19:08
you know, the girls

I shook my head slightly, knowing exactly what he meant. Jimin suddenly walked in. Yawning, already in pyjamas. "Oh hey," he said, giving me that sweet smile of his. I smiled back, and he disappeared into the kitchen. I pulled up my phone again.

ME 19:13
yeah, i'm aware

Jimin came back into the living room carrying two glasses of water, so I put my phone away. He set a glass down in front of me and sat down next to me, taking a sip from his own.
"Thanks," I told him.

"Thought you might want some. How was work?" He made himself comfortable.

"Great! I love pouring coffee and serving food for people who don't know what respect is," I responded, smiling sarcastically.

"Still bad huh?"

I nodded. "That old man needs to learn boundaries. He keeps looking at me like he wants to take me right then and there. It's so creepy, he has to be at least 60," I ranted. I took a deep breath, leaning back and giving him a defeated look.

"Today he even upgraded his nasty level to ACTUALLY TOUCHING ME when I serve him. Honestly I have no clue what to do anymore, my manager just brushed it off when I told him, apparently I deserve it because I wear skinny jeans."

Jimin looked at me in disbelief. "Are you joking?" he started. He proceeded to mumble all kinds of profanities, after which he put his glass of water down, bringing his hand up to hold mine. I stared at our hands with widened eyes, feeling my cheeks slowly heat up, but I didn't wanna stop it. He quickly noticed my reddened cheeks, and a grin formed on his face.

I cleared my throat and quickly got up on my feet. "I'm uh, I'm gonna go to bed. Night Jimin," I said. I picked up the glass of water and scurried off into my room.

. . .

Ring... ring ring... ring...

I angrily sat up and grabbed my phone, raising it to my ear. "What?!"

"What are you so angry for? It's 11:56, Hana."
I rubbed my temple with my free hand as I listened to my brother talk about how lazy I was.

"Yes, I get it. What do you want?"

"It's my birthday, so come to my party at 7, alright? Don't you dare dress to impress Yoongi."

"Happy-"

He cut me off by hanging up. He's still mad about that whole Yoongi thing huh?

Sighing, knowing that Jungkook was in Busan visiting his family right now, I scanned my brain for people I know that I could bring in his place.

Nothing.

I lied down for a couple more minutes, staring at the ceiling, still thinking.

When I came up with nothing again I got up, might as well put out clothes to wear and study for the time being. I laid a pair of light wash skinny jeans and a soft, oversized, black tee shirt on my bed. I then put a black belt and my favourite pair of white sneakers on the floor right beside. I then grabbed my history books, and headed to the living room.

An hour later I had spread my papers and books over the whole coffee table, only leaving space for my tea cup. Still, I hadn't gotten much work done.

"Are you studying on a Saturday?"

I looked up to be greeted by Jimin's teasing smile. I gave him a small smile back as I nodded. He came closer and sat down next to me on the couch. "How can you be a history major? It's so boring.."

I pouted, and he quickly changed the subject.

"About Taehyung's birthday party tonight," he began. I took my eyes off my homework to look at Jimin as he spoke. "Do you wanna go together?" He stared straight into my eyes as he said this.

I shot him a smile as I replied, "It's a date."
