Jared's POV

      I got dressed in a black T-shirt with a red flannel on top and some shorts, still thinking about my friends or ex-friends I guess. My thinking got cut short though by a  shock. 'What the hell!' I thought

"You can't keep thinking about them, it'll affect your mood and demeanor. Therefore affect people's opinions of you" My squip said still looking like Michael

'Whatever'

I walked downstairs and grabbed and apple off the counter. I looked for my mom who was in the living room.

"Hey mom, I gotta head to school ok?" I said. I was just planning on walking, my squip said it wasn't that far.

"Oh honey, I have a gift for you" She said getting up and handing me car keys. I just stared at them unsure. "I know your father never got you your own car so I figured I would it's the blue one in the driveway"

I just stood there for a minute, unsure. I had my license, but I had never really driven anywhere before. Eventually I responded "Uh thanks Mom that's awesome"

I walked out and got into the car, my car, and drove to school.

"Remember what I told the last time I was active." The squip said

'right' I thought. I got out and strode into the school confidently. I looked around for the office. I couldn't see any signs so I went up to a group of people.

"Go to that group with the girl who has blonde hair." The squip said. I'm about to do as he says and head towards the group but I saw a kid in all black with brown and I walk up to him instead.

"What are you doing?" The squip asked me

'talking to him instead' I replied

"Hi, I'm new here. Can someone show me where the office is?" I asked him.

He looked up at me "Did someone send you over to mess with me?" He said sounding a bit upset

"Um uh no" I said surprised. I wasn't expecting that response

"What were you expecting, he is the freak of this school" Squip said

'shut down'

"I just need some directions." I said "I'm Jared, Jared Kleinmann" I held out my hand for him to shake.

"Connor Murphy. You sure my sister didn't send you to make look like more of a freak" he said. He didn't shake my hand so I put it down.

"Yes, absolutely, I just thought I would ask you." I replied shrugging

"Well then follow me the bell is about to ring." He started walking away, I quickly followed him. He lead me to the office, as he was turning to leave I stopped him

"Hey, uh would you mind showing me around town or something?" I asked

"Yeah, I don't think you want me to, I'm not really someone most people want to be associated with" he said turning away

"Wait uh here" I took out a piece of paper and wrote down my number "here, if you change your mind, call me, because I don't really care if people say that. And if you want we can just hang out outside of school" I said handing it to him

"Yeah sure" he said leaving. I walked into the office and got my schedule, heading to class.
