I couldn't believe it. My little goth lab rat was hurting herself. It made my blood boil. I wanted to yell at her for doing such a thing, but I knew that wouldn't help the situation. I calmly asked her, "Why Abby?" She didn't respond all she did was stare at the floor beneath her. I was impatient and wanted an answer. "Abby tell me now. Why would you hurt yourself? On purpose!" That didn't help at all cause she started to sob hysterically. I held her again, feeling terrible that I made her cry. I grabbed her gently. "I didn't mean to yell at you, can you please tell me why?" She sniffled and looked at me. "Mikel... " She said in a low whisper. That was all I needed. I kissed her cheek and told her, "We will talk later." With that, I walked out leaving her alone.
