You open your eyes slowly. You don't know where you are.
What happened? How did I get here?
Before you have any time to figure out the answer to any of those questions, or enough time for your eyes to adjust to the dark, you see a large man in a hockey mask approach you out of the corner of your eye. He elicits your fight or flight response and your body jerks up quickly. His head turns toward you without hesitation and you realize you've alerted to him that you're awake. As he slowly makes his way toward you, you shut your eyes tightly and push yourself onto the chair you find yourself tied to.
After a few seconds of keeping your eyes shut, you peek back at the man and he hasn't been deterred by your display of fear at all. The tape on your mouth prevents you from screaming but it doesn't stop your eyes from watering uncontrollably. The man is now right in front of you and you no longer feel the need to keep your eyes shut because of the distance. Your vision is blurry from the tears but you can make out the man kneeling down in front of you, still keeping the same slow pace. He tilts his head to the side and looks you up and down. He carefully removes the tape on your mouth, you can tell he is using extra care to not hurt you.
"W-who are you?!" you yell, reluctant at first but gaining some confidence in the stressful situation. He does not answer you, he only moves his large hands to your shoulder. He touches your shoulder tenderly before wrapping his whole arm around your back and pulling you into an embrace.
This sudden act of affection scares you but it feels strangely nice... You try to wiggle free but he is too strong. You find yourself unable to resist the large man and fall into the hug. It feels really nice. Your eyes start to close as you embrace this feeling. You feel safe in his arms. You don't know him but you think you may have heard of him on the news before. He lets go of you and pulls back.
"You're Jason Voorhees right? The Crystal Lake killer? Listen, I don't know how I got here or how you found me but–" your words trail off when you look into the large man's eyes. There's so much pain in them. You can't forgive him for taking so many peoples' lives but when he's sitting right in front of you and when you have so many emotions to wrestle with, it's impossible to keep interrogating him.
You look at the rope that binds your wrist and Jason's eyes follow yours. He gets the hint and unties you.
"You're okay with letting me go, just like that?" He doesn't say anything back. Somehow you take comfort in this and as his gaze drifts off to elsewhere, you place a hand on his mask where his cheek is and move him to face you again. You stare deep into his eyes and move off the chair onto the floor to be more level with him, although he is much much larger than you.
"Jason... Can you... Hug me again?" you ask in a whispery voice. The expression on his face that you can only see through the eye holes in his mask doesn't change. His arms extend from both sides and he pulls you close to his body. You've never felt so much warmth and love in your life. You've heard that people give great hugs but this hug was the best one you think anyone has ever given. It was so warm. It had a tenderness that also made you feel protected and treasured. This hug made you feel like the only person in the world. The only person that mattered to him. You bury your head in his strong chest and try your best to wrap your arms around his huge body. You can't help but cry again when feeling his touch. So much love inside such a giant body. You don't ever want this hug to stop, and you hope it never does.
