Taehyung curled up on the couch. He buried his face in his knees below the blanket and just lay there. The feeling of loneliness crept inside and sat there. He knew he wasn't lonely, of course, he wasn't, but he couldn't help but feel that way. He liked it when the band had a break because they could just relax and let the stress from album promotion fade away. He could go to someone, tell them how he feels, but they are all preoccupied. Everyone was paired up: Yoongi and Hoseok, obviously, Jin and Namjoon, and now Jimin and Jungkook. Taehyung felt as though he was on his own.
It was dark in the living room, he had turned the tv off long ago. Everyone had gone to bed and Taehyung was left to his own devices. He was hungry, but Jin had banned him from the kitchen after he almost started a fire. He wanted someone to sit with him, laugh with him, cry with him and make him food!
He wanted what everyone else had. Love.
As if someone had heard his thoughts, Jimin walked into the room. And, while Jimin couldn't give him love in the way Taehyung wanted him too, he could give him happiness, laughter, comfort, and food.
Jimin made a surprised noise when the lump on the sofa moved. He thought for a moment about who it could be then noticed what blanket it was. Taehyung's.
"Tae Tae?" Jimin said quietly. The lump froze before Taehyungs vibrant blue hair appeared, then his face.
"Yes?" He mumbled. Jimin walked over, slowly, before sitting beside him. He put his hands in his lap, but Taehyung reached out and put them in his hair, shuffling closer so his head was on Jimin's lap.
"You okay?" Jimin whispered. Taehyung didn't move for a moment before moving his head. Jimin couldn't understand if it was a yes or a no so he asked Taehyung to tell him verbally.
"No, Hyung. I know that I'm not lonely, that you and the Hyung's and Jungkook are here for me, but I can't help but feel it" Taehyung admitted. Jimin sat the boy up and pulled him into his chest. Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jimin's waist and held on tightly. Jimin's arms fell around Taehyung's shoulders and one of his hands returned to his hair. He began stroking his hair when Taehyung's shoulders began to shake. "I don't know why... I just want what you guys have"
Jimin frowned and squeezed his eyes shut. He was overcome by sadness for the boy. For weeks everyone had been wrapped up and preoccupied with showing love for their partner that they forgot Taehyung didn't have what they had.
"I'm sorry Tae Tae... I truly am. You're meant to be my best friend, but I failed to see how you were feeling..." Jimin whispered. He reached up and dried a stray tear that fell. Taehyung shook his head.
"No. No, Hyung, you deserve to spend time with Jungkook. After everything you two have been through you are entitled to spend time with him." Taehyung stated
"But Tae-"
"No, it isn't your fault. I should have gone to someone sooner, but I didn't" Taehyung said
"Well, I'm here for you now. You know you can come to me about anything and I'll be a lot more help now that I know what's going on" Jimin said, smiling slightly. Taehyung smiled too, the feeling of loneliness shifting, for now, to make way for the happiness felt about his friend being there for him. He hugged Jimin tightly before standing up and pulling the shorter up off the sofa, pulling him in the direction of the kitchen.
"Now, dear Jiminie, can you make me some food?"
Jimin's laughter rang through the small kitchen.
