Jimin's eyes fluttered open and he sighed. He smelled the food that he guessed Jin was cooking and longed to taste it, but he sighed again when he realized that he wouldn't be able to keep it down. Jimin went to move and climb out of bed but his body felt unnaturally heavy. He tried again and cried out when a sharp pain shot up his arm. Jimin knew he needed help but didn't know if the others would hear him if he simply shouted. He moved as slow as he could and reached for his phone. Upon doing so, his cover slipped down his back and a shiver ran up his spine, making his body flinch. Pain exploded throughout his body and he jumped, crying out again and rolling off the bed. He lay there on his back and stared at the ceiling as tears began to fall again.
A while later Jimin decided to call out for the others. He didn't know if they would hear him, but it was worth a try. He continued to call out the other boy's names until he got a reply. His door opened, and he heard Hoseok's voice,
"Jimin?" Hoseok was confused. He had just heard Jimin calling out his name from his room but Jimin wasn't in bed where he had left him.
"Hyung... help" Jimin's voice said from somewhere in the room. Hoseok walked further into the room and looked between the beds. He gasped when he saw Jimin lay on his back on the floor, crying and unmoving.
"Jimin? What's wrong?" He asked, kneeling beside the boy. He reached out to touch the boy but Jimin called out,
"No!" At Hoseok's confused face, Jimin continued. "Don't try to move me, please. It's agonizing if I try to move"
"But Jiminie, you have to get off the floor," Hoseok said.
"I know, but I can't move. It hurts too much" Jimin cried. Hoseok looked thoughtful before he grabbed one of Jimin's pillows off his bed and looked at the younger boy.
"Brace yourself, I'll have to lift your head for a second to put this underneath it" Hoseok stated. Jimin whimpered but said 'okay'.
Hoseok slowly reached towards the boy's head and quickly lifted it off the ground, shoving the pillow beneath it and putting it softly back down. Jimin's crying picked up and Hoseok shushed him softly,
"Shh, I know. I know it hurts but I had to do it" He said. Jimin cried,
"I know, I know..." Repeatedly. For a while, his crying did not cease. Hoseok blinked back tears as he sat and comforted his friend. Closer

After Jimin's pain had faded and Hoseok had been able to move him back into his bed, Hoseok marched straight out of Jimin's room and into the living room where the others were sitting. He walked over to Jungkook and pulled him to the edge of the sofa again, roughly.
"Hoseok! Will you stop doing that? Please!" Jin cried, looking disapprovingly at the younger male. Hoseok huffed before pulling Jungkook's collar away from his neck again.
"Sorry Hyung, but this is important," He said as he inspected the Mate mark. He growled lowly as he looked at its colour. Its colour had faded from ruby to rose. Those two colours would have been beautiful in any other situation, they would have been symbols of love. But now, they were symbols and reminders of the fact their friend was dying.
Hoseok looked at Yoongi and his Mate looked right back. Hoseok spoke, voice breaking,
"Baby...its colour has faded"
Yoongi's face dropped.
