"Hi Ham, I need you to come over to the hospital and don't tell Juliet please, it is urgent, mum had a cardiac arrest." The message from Joy read.

I stared at the phone shocked then looked at Juliet and I could see how happy she looked after the several orgasms; she had no idea that her mother was at the hospital.

"What is it Ham? Why do you look so worried?" She asked after she noted that my mood had changed.

"My dear, a friend got an emergency and she needs my help; I have to go and help her." I said as I grabbed her car keys and my jacket.

I wore my trouser and rushed out as I completed dressing; Juliet was left in bed half dressed, I asked her to stay home and wait for me. The last time I had driven a car so recklessly, it was the night I lost my fiancée; but I did not care if I was being reckless, I had to get to the hospital as fast as possible.

When I got to the hospital, I found Joy being held by two nurses as she cried; the nurses were trying to comfort her.

"Joy, how is she?" I asked as I hugged her tightly.

"They have refused I accompany her to the emergency room; I don't know if they will be able to resuscitate her." She replied sobbing.

I asked the nurses to give us some time alone with Joy then I took her head and lay it on my chest. Her hands were shaking due to panic, Joy was really tensed.

"Joy, I believe that the doctors will be able to resuscitate her, let us just give them time to do their job. Come with me, let us go for a walk dear." I said as I took her hand.

Joy and I walked outside and went to sit somewhere where there was a cool breeze; I did not want her staying inside the building because she could think of doing something stupid.

We were just within the hospital's premises so that we could be available in case the doctors needed us. About an hour later, a nurse came to where we were seated and told us that the doctor wanted to see us.

"Is my mum okay nurse?" Joy asked as she quickly got up.

"I am sorry doc but I don't have the answer to that question; I just met with the doctor at the hallway and he asked me to call you two." The nurse replied.

We followed the nurse back to the building and found the doctor waiting for us at the reception.

"Doc, how is my mum?" Joy asked sounding panicked.

"She is stable but needs to rest, she asked to see the two of you." The doctor replied as he led the way to where Joy's mum was.

"Make it short, she needs to have some rest." He added as he left us in the room only the three of us.

After the doctor walked out, Mrs. Roy smiled at both of us then asked us to seat beside her on the bed.

"The reason why I called you two here, it is because you two are close to each other and since I lost one of my daughters, I take you as my elder son." She said looking at me.

"Thank you Mrs. Roy, you have always been a mother to me." I replied smiling.

"My son, I don't have much time left in this world and I need you to take care of my two daughters. I have never seen my girls trust a man before but all the three of them trusted you and they always talked about you during our family gatherings; please never let anything happen to my two angels." She said then began coughing.

"Mum! Are you okay?" Joy asked worried.

"Get me some water." Mrs. Roy replied still coughing.

Joy rushed out of the room to go and get some water and I was left with her mother in the room. Immediately Joy walked out of the room, she stopped coughing and looked at me.

"Son, I know you think that my husband and I hates you; we don't. We are just worried that all our daughters might be in love with you. I knew your parents and there is something about you that they never told you before they left this world. When your mother told me about it, I did not believe her, until you fell in love with one of my daughters and the other two began behaving strangely. Every time we had family gatherings with Juliet attending the meetings on Skype, the three girls would intensely talk about you and that got their father and I concerned." Mrs. Roy said.

"I don't understand ma'am! You knew my parents?" I asked shocked.

"My son, there is a lot that you don't know but when it is time, you will know everything. Your mother was a very good friend of mine and I promised her that I would tell you everything when the time comes. I think the time is nearing now and you need to know everything Haman." She replied giving me a curious stare.

Just then Joy walked back to the room with a bottle of water and a glass. She poured some water for her mum and then her mum smiled at her then looked at me smiling.

While we were still there, the doctor came to check on Mrs. Roy as he asked us to leave. Just then a nurse bunched into the room panting.

"Doc, we have an emergency. There is a patient who has been brought in right now; he was involved in a fatal accident." The nurse said still panting.

"Get the emergency room ready; I also need you to inform all surgeons to report to the emergency room now." The doctor replied.

"Joy, do you think you can handle a surgery right now?" The doctor asked.

"Mum, Ham, I will see you guys later. Doc let us go." Joy replied as she got up.

Using the emergency button on the wall, the doctor had called for another nurse to come and check on Mrs. Roy. Joy and the doctor left the room headed towards the emergency room, then the nurse who came to check on Mrs. Roy asked to talk to me outside before she could attend to Mrs. Roy.

"Sir, I don't think having Joy attend to the patient who has just been brought in is a good idea." The nurse said.

"But why? She is among the best surgeons in this facility?!" I asked sounding curious.

"The patient is Mr. Roy, her father." The nurse replied......
