Lucy's POV
"Hello dear Lucy how may I help you today?" Zeref asked.
"Cut the crap. I am here for one reason and one reason only and that is to get revenge for my mother!" I said.
As I finished my sentence I ran towards him my fist glowing with all the power of the elements. Zeref easily sidestepped but I lit my leg with my magic and brought my fought up and kicked him in then face. He stumbled back with a thin line of blood rolling down his face from his nose. I ran towards him continuously barraging his gut with attacks until he fell and started coughing up blood. Good he has internal bleeding.
"My name is Lucy Heartfilia, highest ranking Wizard Saint and the Dragon Queen. You killed my mother prepare to die."
I raised my hand and my elemental katana appeared. It would have been a normal blade if not for the swirling elements.
I was about to bring an end to Zeref when I heard someone yell,
"STOP!!!!!"
I looked up to see Rogue running towards me. I felt a surge of magic power and I looked down to see Zeref disappear.
"Damn it!!" I yelled.
My sword disappeared. I glared at Rogue. "Why are you here Rogue? You stopped me from killing my enemy and my mother's killer."
"The reason I'm here is to stop you from doing something you'll regret and what do you mean your mother's killer?" Rogue explained. "You said she died bringing our dragons back to life."
"That's what I like say but that's only half the truth." I sighed. "After my mother brought Skiadrum and Weisslogia back to life she was very weak and couldn't fight or defend herself. Zeref took advantage of that, snuck into my mother's room and killed her. I- I watched her die. There was blood everywhere. I couldn't do anything except listen to her scream, begging him to stop. She never stood a chance and ever since that day I have sworn revenge on that bastard just waiting to get my revenge. The next time I see him I WILL kill him."
I turned and started to walk away. "Now if you'll excuse me I have other business to -" I gasped. I felt two strong arms around me. Rogue was hugging me. "Rogue, what are you-"
"Lucy just let it out. I know what it feels like to keep your emotions bottled up, it's not good for you. You need someone to vent to. I have Frosch but I'm pretty sure you don't have anyone so let me be that person you obviously need it because you're crying."
I was shocked at what he said even more when he said I was crying. I brought my hand to my face and felt water. I was indeed crying. I looked at Rogue and felt more tears roll down my face. Rogue wiped my tears and said, "I understand how you feel but crying obscures your beauty. But you can cry as much as you want I won't judge you." I just burst into tears at what he said and burrowed my head into his chest. Rogue rubbed my head and held me to his chest saying soothing words.
I just cried. I cried for my mother, my past, Fairy Tail's betrayal, anything that made me sad I just let it all out.
When I finally stopped I pulled away from Rogue and gave him a watery smile. "Thank you Rogue. I don't know what I would do without you."
Rogue smiled at me. I felt my heart skip a beat and I realized something. I'm in love with Rogue Cheney.
"If you want I can teleport you back to Sabertooth." I offered.
"What about you? What will you do?" Rogue sounded unsure.
"I'm going to sleep here tonight since I have nowhere else to go and I prefer sleeping under the stars." I answered.
"Can I just stay here with you? Frosch is in good hands with Sting and it's already dark. Between you and me I also prefer sleeping outside I just don't do it as often as I have things to do and Frosch likes to sleep on a bed."
I looked up at him and gave him a warm smile. "Of course."
"That's like the 5th time you've smiled today!" Rogue cheered.
"I guess you and Frosch are the only people, well person and cat, who can bring out my emotions." I said smiling at him again. "I wonder why that is?"
"I have a suggestion," Rogue said.
"Yeah?"
"It might be because ever since we were kids I could never stand to see you cry and when you smiled I was overjoyed. Your laughter was music to my ears especially when I was the one who made you laugh. Ever since we were kids I have loved you and I still do. Lucy I love you and I know this is rushing it but will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.
"Does this answer your question?"
I leaned forward and captured his lips with mine. It was passionate. At first it was gentle then it became rough as the battle for dominance began to see who would lead the relationship. Rogue won the battle of dominance and rules the relationship.
As we broke away Rogue said, "I love you Lucy as I always will."
I leaned into his body. "And I love you Rogue." After that I snuggled closer into his body and fell asleep in his arms
listening to the steady sound of his heartbeat. And that was by far the happiest night I've had in the past 10 years, possibly in my entire life. To put it simply, it was great.
Rogue's POV
I can't believe it!!! She loves me too!!! And she kissed me and now she fell asleep in my arms!! This is the best day of my life!! I nuzzled my head into her neck and inhaled her scent. Vanilla and strawberries. Delicious. Lucy sighed in content and snuggled deeper into my chest. She's adorable when she sleeps. You wouldn't think that the girl in my arms is the most powerful wizard in the world. But the only thing I care about right now is Lucy. Her scent, her face, her everything. And she's all mine. Maybe in a year or so I will talk to her about marking a mate. Natsu was an idiot to forget about her. He could've had a great girl, but oh well she's mine now. Maybe I should thank Natsu for his stupidity. I nuzzle my face into her neck even more and sigh in content. I slowly drift off thinking 'Lucy is all mine'.
