Chapter 7
There the prince stood. His eyes a bright crimson, a obvious dark aura emanated from his body. I didn’t understand why he was quite angry till I realized what position me and Kiriza were in. I glanced upwards to my pinned hands. Then my eyes wandered back to Kiriza whom was frozen in shock. My breath was stopped when I heard the prince yell something in a different language, whatever it was…it wasn’t pleasant. Kiriza cursed under his breath and pulled away from my body my hands falling to my sides completely limp. He then turned to the prince and bowed smirking as he did which seemed to infuriate the prince further. When Kiriza stood upright, I was in shock. I didn’t know how to react as he held onto my left hand and kissed the top of it gently. I was left in a daze as he turned and walked down the corridor. I brought my hand up to my head which was spinning. Before I could speak or question anything I was being pulled into the prince’s arms.
“Deresu meris…meris…” he mumbled almost inaudible. I didn’t understand and as I tried to pry myself away, his embrace tightened.
“Prince Kellin…” I spoke cautiously, dark swirls surrounded his body. I shuddered ever so slightly my head swimming and halting all at once he eventually let go and stepped backwards.
“What were you doing with him?” his long dark locks covered his eyes but for some reason his voice sounded like it was breaking.
“Why does it matter?” I spat at him. My insides were screaming. What are you doing can’t you see he’s hurting?
“I….never mind….you wouldn’t understand…” he spoke softly. His persona was completely the opposite as before. His high and mighty self seemed almost as if it hadn’t existed.
“Well enlighten me. Before I leave.” My voice was harsh. Inside my conscious was screaming at me. Stop it. Listen to him.
“It’s not that easy…anyways…” he straightened himself into a proper stance and brushed his hair out of his eye revealing calm and cold amber eyes. “You will be training with Kiriza… yet it seems you have… um…already been acquainted. Your training starts tomorrow you will be taken to the armory later. I will make arrangements for the blacksmith to make you custom armor for battle.” His voice had become a monotone. I opened my mouth to speak but he raised his hand in silence.
“I understand, I’m not a puppet to be silenced.” I spoke sternly. My eyes were looking at him with defiance. What he said next surprised me.
“Yes you are correct and your view earlier I can also understand. You can’t let go of something that dramatically changed your life and not exactly for the better. You aren’t a slave, yet here I am letting my ego get in the way. I apologize.” His monotone voice seemed to echo on forever in those corridors as we stood facing each other. A deathly silence just hung there until I heard footsteps from the left. When I glanced upwards I noticed a maid carrying a letter on a silver platter. Stopping in her tracks her short blue hair seemed to stick out in a pixie cut. She blushed in embarrassment as she walked towards the prince. I whipped my head to look at him and his face was impassive. When she bowed to hand him the letter he gave her his best dazzling smile causing the poor girl to turn a deep red. I scowled and turned to open the bedroom door. When I walked in closing it behind me I locked it.
Blond hair huh? Well Ignia or whatever it is called… why doesn’t Kellin have that color?
I shrugged as many theories ran through my head. I walked over to the bed and collapsed on it sighing . Ignoring the pounding on the door, I eventually fell into a deep sleep.
