You do know Brads gonna ask you out tonight right?" James said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world."Uh...no?!" You respond, almost swallowing your chewing gum."Come on Sophia, you've been having eye sex for the whole lesson." Whispered James. At this point you glanced at Bradley on the other side of the class to find he was already looking at you, fiddling with his pencil, before quickly looking away."I'd hardly call it eye sex.""Still, you can't get enough of each other and you know it." James winked bringing his attention back to the teacher.James was one of your best friends. He was the one who introduced you to your current yet stable crush Brad Simpson. Dreamy Bradley. James was in all of your classes, with Brad it was just the one. Unfortunately James was in this one too.Tonight James was having a little 'get together' whilst his parents were out of town. Knowing James and his 'get togethers' you knew it was going to be more than a couple of friends and some pizza...5 hours later you stood in James's living room with...hello, a couple of friends and some pizza!"Care for some pepperoni m'lady." James's friend Connor held out a box for you."Thanks." You grabbed a slice and sat on one of the sofas with everyone else. You shot James a look of surprise."What? I wasn't in the party mood." James shrugged. There was about ten people, but still pretty quiet for one of James 'get togethers'. You spotted Bradley on the opposite sofa next to his friend Tristan. He gave you a warm smile and waved you over."Hey." He muttered as you took your place next to him. He smelt good."I know what sort of party this is..." One of the girls James had invited spoke."It's a truth or dare party."A few minutes later you were sat in a big circle in between Brad and Connor. James was opposite you, his arm around the girl who's idea this was. "So." He spoke. "Who goes first?""I'll go first." Tristan offered calmly."Okay Tris, kiss the prettiest girl in the room." James laughed. To everyone's surprise Tristan turned confidently and kissed this busty blonde right on the mouth. Well she was the most prettiest girl in the room obviously to Tristan, and to you.You wondered who Brad thought the most prettiest girl in the room was."Okay, let's go to you then Molly.."As James threw out some raunchy dares, no one passed until Connor decided he didn't want to drink a can of prune juice."Okay then Con, off with ya shirt.""What?""That's the forfit." Said a girl who'd been eyeing Connor all night, eyes glistening. While you watched as no one thankfully dared you yet, you thought about how sure James sounded in class when he said Brad was going to ask you out. Would he really? Why me? You thought. God you liked him."Are you going to do all the dares James?" Tristan asked."Fine, you do one."You had been quite happy James was doing all the dares. You could relax as you knew he wouldn't ask you to do anything out of your comfort zone. Now Tristan was in charge, it was time to be slightly nervous."Brad.""Yeah.""Truth or dare?"No one had actually said Truth yet, so naturally you didn't expect Brad to look like the chicken."Dare.""I dare you to kiss Sophia." Tristan snickered.James raised his eyebrows, slightly concerned for your sake. Brad looked at you, then at Tristan, then at you. All the while you stared and waited. Then he took his shirt off."Oooh." One of the girls sarked."Seriously? What a chicken." Tristan exclaimed. "Okay who's next..."You avoided James's eye contact. You felt tears stinging in your eyes. You can't believe Bradley just rejected you like that. Actually, how could you make yourself believe he wouldn't.Why would he like you? He was Brad and you were Sophia. Just James's friend Sophia. Not a busty blonde. You snuck a glance at Bradley. He was looking down at his shirtless torso, unable to meet anyone's gaze. Not that anyone was gazing at him...maybe you should stop. You looked away to meet James's eyes. His expression held a mixture of guilt and empathy. You shrugged him off. This was too much."I'm going to get a drink, anyone want one?" You stood up quickly startling Brad. Your eyes were glazing over and you felt dizzy. Humiliation was just hitting you.Everyone gave a slight shake of the head and continued with the game and chatter. You manoeuvred your way to the kitchen and closed the door behind you. You went to the sink and splashed water in your face, stopping any future tears from growing. You stepped back feeling refreshed."Sophia? Are you okay?"You spun around and met Brads deep brown eyes full of sincerity."Uh yeah, do you want a drink." You looked at the floor, silently praying he'd leave."No I uh, wanted to talk to you." Brad said stepping up to you."Oh?""I'm sorry if I made you feel like...""Like an idiot?""Like I didn't like you." Your eyes locked."But you don't." You sighed."Actually...I do, a lot." He blushed."...really?" You breathed."I really like you Sophia. Like really, and...I'm sorry if I embarrassed you or hurt you, that was the last of my intentions."You waited for him to find his words and continue."I didn't want our first kiss to be...then. Forced, you know?" He spoke softly."Forced?""You being forced into it. I want you to want me...to kiss you.""Brad.""I know I probably humiliated you and-""Bradley.""You probably hate me right now and-""Bradley I want you to kiss me."Brad stopped rambling and met your eyes again. He didn't say anything. He just stepped closer, biting his lip and cupped your face carefully with his big hands. "Like this." He murmured before he kissed you sweetly. You closed your eyes and got lost in the kiss. It was short, but a good first kiss. Brad pulled away slowly and smirked. "Perfect.""I'm sorry about Bradley, Sophia. I- really didn't think he was going to do that.." Said James quietly to you as everyone was getting ready to go home a couple of hours later."Are you joking, tonight was the best night ever.""But Brad-""Kissed me!""No way." James grinned.Bradley smirked at you from the other side of the room."Please, stop with the eye sex!"
