Ashley looked tiredly out her bedroom window, watching as small droplets of rain softly hit the glass. "Hey, wake up oh my god it's 10am!" Her best friend yelled at her, banging on the door aggressively. "Ah come on.." Ashley forced herself out of bed. She was late for lessons, usually she had to be in the stable getting ready at 8, but she slept in a lot today. Quickly, she brushed her brown, short hair and washed her face. She knew it was going to make her even more late, but last time she went to a lesson looking like a troll, she got in big trouble.
"My god Ash are you alright?" Her instructor said worriedly, gesturing to her eyes, her green eyes had dark purple bags nestled beneath them. "Yeah no don't worry, I just had a big night." Which was true, she had spent all night all the way out in the Silverglade library, researching the history of Pandoria. A few days ago a portal was opened, nothing went in but something came out.
During her life she had never really learnt much about the mysteries of the strange world, but she wanted to know more. Unfortunately the books she found didn't read much. So, left unsatisfied, she would venture out to where the portal opened and investigate.
The day was slow, all Ashley could think about was the adventure. "Oi! Snap out of it Dawn, no time to be slacking." The instructor snapped in her direction, the Jorvik stables arena was a little bit crowded, so she had to stay on point.
Her head spun, she felt sick to her stomach. She could swear she heard distant voices in her head, calling to her, but from where she didn't know. After a long day of riding Hawk, her palomino lusitano, she had to make sure he had a rest, because tomorrow was going to be a big day.
