dovefeather woke up, sighing as she sleepily blinked at the dim sunlight, a small bitter breeze making its way into the warriors' den. She got up, her paws feeling heavy and vulnerable from the dusk patrol she went on last night. Half a moon after the gathering, she had a bad feeling. But, every time she pushed it away. Getting up, she padded to the prey pile and grabbed a rabbit to eat. She sat down under a tree, solemnly eating it in silence.
"Dovefeather? Want to go hunt?"
her sisters voice sounded from her side. Dovefeather turned her head. Though her paws ached from last night, she nodded her head in agreement. She chewed the last morsel of prey and pushed the bones aside, following sunsetlake at her heels. Sunsetlake lead them to the flat moors. "I'll search for a rabbit. Stay here, if you hear something coming towards you, get ready to catch a rabbit!" Sunsetlake padded away, turning her back to dovefeather. She nodded and backed into a bush. The light snow drizzled across the moor, giving her at least a bit of cover for her white fur.
Waiting for what felt to dovefeather as a second, a white blob raced out from cover, sunsetlake right on its heels. Dovefeather pounced, the rabbit squealing from surprise as it tried to turn. Dovefeather twisted her body, thumping her paws down on the rabbit and swiftly bitting it neck. "You have good eyesight, I almost lost it." Sunsetlake commented between huffs.
Dovefeather grabbed the rabbit and playfully pushed sunsetlake's shoulder. "Come on, no time for compliments." They both laughed as dovefeather buried the rabbit and went off to get more prey.
.
dovefeather and sunsetlake came back, a rabbit and a mouse in dovefeather's jaw and two rabbits in sunsetlakes' jaw. They both went to the fresh kill pile, dropping their findings. "I wonder how we found that much." Sunsetlake commented. "Leaf Bare has only just begun." Dovefeather replied. Dropletpaw padded up to sunsetlake. "Sunsetlake, can we train now?" The apprentice called. Sunsetlake nodded, padding away with dropletpaw to train. Dovefeather sighed, feeling awfully alone now. She fidgeted with her paws, think8ng of something to do while her siste was training her apprentice, dropletpaw. A black and white tom approached her. Her gaze redirected to the tom, who was blackwing.
"Hey dovefeather," blackwing started.
"Hi." She simply replied. "So.. how are you on this lovely day?" Blackwing mewed, sitting beside dovefeather and curling his tail over her shoulder.
"Oh, I'm alright. How are you?" She asked. Blackwing smiled. "Oh, I'm good too. But it's even better with you."
Dovefeather giggled and felt her pelt get hot. "W-well.. —" she stuttered, not knowing what to say. Blackwing chuckled nervously. "O-oh, I'm sorry.." he mewed.
awkward silence stood between them for what seemed like a moon before the leader called a meeting.
"All cats who swim the rapids, join under the wetrock for a clan meeting."
Dovefeather gathering under the wetrock with Blackwing beside her.

Shellstar sat on the wetrock, waiting for his clan to gather. He cleared his voice.
"I have heard word from thunderclan's leader that they call war on our clan."
Gasps of shock emerged from the clan.
"That's outrageous!" Scarletclaws yowled. Shellstar flicked his tail. "I agree. But this is something we must face. Their clan has the same numbers as ours, but we'll have the advantage if they attack us. We must be ready and never let our guard down. Hunting patrols will need at least four cats or more, same for patrols. If you meet thunderclan on your way, run back and tell us. We can't afford for the cats who see them dying."
an unexcited grunt came from scarletclaws, but he didn't dare object to Shellstar.
"The meeting is dismissed."
Shellstar leaped off the wetrock, turning to his den. Laying down on fresh moss an apprentice fetched him, He closed his eyes for a nap.
...
the world appeared before Shellstar, the forest before him. He looked around, hearing yowling from the distance. He padded towards it, suddenly seeing bloodied warriors and bodies that had fallen to the ground. Not May we're dead, but the scent of death was almost unbearable. He saw his warriors fighting fiercely against thunderclans' warriors. Then, he saw himself, almost like he was highlighted by a beam of light. He was fighting harestar, presumably winning. But then, harestar launched forwards and clamped his jaws around his neck. Shellstar could almost feel harestar's teeth tear his flesh, ripping out his throat with a hard tug. His clone fell, going limp. Shellstar was gasping.
Why does it feel like I'm getting hurt? He clamped his jaws shut, pain suddenly thundering his body. He felt his neck rip, looking down to see his body disintegrating. Help! He tried to say, but the pain overtook his voice, as if he couldn't talk anymore.
Everything around him disappeared, ending.
