On va s'aimer, à toucher le ciel
Se séparer, à brûler nos ailes
Se retrouver comme les hirondelles
On va s'aimer, tellement tu es belle

We will love, till touching the sky
To separate, to burn our wings
To find ourselves like the swallows
We will love, you're so beautiful

Thursdays were always Her Favourites.

The smell of Fresh Baguettes and Warm Newspapers Blew through the Quiet Streets of Goult.

Odette awoke, Stretching her Limbs and Hearing the Crunch of her Bones.

She Didn't Attempt to give herself the Hope of Looking Left, Only to see The Ghastly Truth that She had, yet again ,woke up to an Empty Bed. Odette Climbed out of The Antique Four Poster bed, Pushing away the Pain of Feeling Ignored by Son Amour •--(( Her Love ))--•

She Looked around the Room They had Made their Own, Together.

She Sighed, Pausing to Run her Slender Fingers between the Sea of Blonde Resting upon her Head.

Odette Clambered Sleepily to their Bay window, snatching Antoinette's pack of Cigarettes off of their French Vanity.

She Noticed a Candle by the Ledge of the Window.

Antoinette must've Left it there before she Left, It was Surprising it Hadn't burnt out.

Odette used the Flickering ,Dimly lit Candle to Light her Cigarette.

As the Humid Smoke Invaded her Lungs, she found herself forming an Emotional Connection With the Candle. She now sat on the Ledge next to the Candle,Her back against the Wall, with the Window open to Let smoke Out, of course. One of her Legs was Dangling outside, the other Rested Along the Window Ledge, Barely long enough for her Petite Leg.

She Gazed upon the Candle as if it were Extremely Interesting, as if this Candle had Given her Enlightenment, as if She saw what She had been Waiting for.

She Saw the Candle as what is Really Was ; a Beacon of Hope. More specifically, a Beacon of hope for her relationship with Antoinette. The Candle had Survived Hours , even with the breeze of an Open window. This Candle, however dim, Had survived the Troubles and it Was Holding on, Trying desperately to Cling on to a Form of Living.

She Knew the Candle would Blow out soon, It was too Late for it.

But her 'relationship' With her Dearest Antoinette could Survive.

They Could Survive this Storm of Ignorance that seemed to be lurking.

If This Cheap, five Inch Candle could do it, Then they could as Well.

-TIME SKIP UWU-

From that Day On, Their relationship Flourished, nurtured by Love, Warmth and Protection.

Every Wednesday, Odette would buy a Cheap Five inch Candle and Light it next to their Window ledge.

Every Thursday, she awoke to The same Dimly lit Candle that Brought her back her Love.

And Every Thursday, That Candle reminded her Of that she Could.

She Could Beat The Expectations.

She Could Survive the Storm.

---------

Precisely Fifty Years Later, Thursday 3rd May 2069. 11:21

Odette Lay on her Deathbed in the Hospital of Goult.

She Could hear her Heart Rate Monitor Beeping away, the Only way of Truly knowing she Was alive. They Prescribed her So Many Pills, but nobody could Deny the Inevitable.

She was Dying.

Slowly but Surely, She was Dying.

11:33

Her Wife of 43 Years, Antoinette, Sat Next to her on a Rickety Chair; Antoinette Refused to Cry, wanting to give Odette Hope of Life.

Summoning whatever strength she Could, Odette Squeezed the Hand She Realized Antoinette what Holding, Feeling the Warm Response from her Wife.

12:00am

Out of Nowhere, The Heart Monitor Sped up, Odette was Becoming unstable.

Antoinette was Crying  Doctors Rushed in to Attempt to Free her from Death.

They Only Tried Because Odette had a Family, They Themselves knew There was no Chance of Survival, It was too Late.

Odette Whispered her Goodbyes to Antoinette, About how much she Loved her.

Yet, in That Moment, Despite the Ruckus of Hospital Staff and her Screaming Wife,

She was not Frightened nor Anxious.

12:03am

She Carefully Turned her Gaze Upon a Dimly Lit Candle in the Far Corner of the Room.

She Smiled her Last Smile.

12:05am

The Candle Wick Went blunt and the Flame Ceased to Exist, Just as her Heart Monitor Made a Long, Unwanted Beep That Signified her Life was Over.

She Watched the Candle Wax as it Drooped down the Candlestick Lifelessly.

She Was so At Peace with her Mind, her Body meant nothing to her anymore.

She Abandoned this Cruel Merciless world, Fleeing to another Plane.

The Candle and Her Soul Died as Equals.

12:07 am

Antoinette was Alone in this World.

She was Only Allowed two Short Lived minutes With the Corpse before she was Ushered out.

Now she Sat in the Hallway, Her Breathing was Calm and Mind at Rest.

As she Took a Deep Breath and Closed her Eyes, She Decided Living was no Longer Worth it.

She too, Abandoned this World to a Higher Plane.

Reunited with Son Amor , She Rest in Peace.
