Best Friends

Part 4

Hayes and Ryan were standing there I hugged them both and kissed them both on the cheek. Ryan handed me a small box. We walked in and we sat on the couch, me in the middle.

"What is it?" I said nervously smiling.

"Relax, its a promise ring." He said.

I opened it. It was a beautiful diamond. I put it on and smiled.

"Thank you." I said. I gave him a big, tight, warm hug.

"I got you gummy worms." Hayes said smiling pulling out a pouch of gummy worms.

"Wormies!" I yelled grabbing the bag.

I opened it and ate one.

Hayes put his hand out and raised his eyebrows.

I handed him one then gripped my bag.

Ryan went to the bathroom, an Hayes said we should go to my room to 'talk'.

We walked up and went in my room. I sat on the bed and Hayes sat next to me.

"I have great news!" He said excitedly.

"What is it?" I asked looking at how excited he was.

"Okay, well, my brother, Will, that I'm living with is having this thing at Virginia Beach and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me?" He said.

"Really?" I said.

He nodded.

"That sounds awesome! I just have to check with mom." I said smiling.

"Awesome, you wanna go back downstairs?" He asked.

"Yeah, let's go." I said walking out with him.

Later that day Hayes and Ryan went home.

"Mom? Can we talk?" I asked her walking into the kitchen. She put some popcorn in the microwave and listened.

"Sure, boogaloo." She said.

"Hayes asked me if I wanted to go on vacation." I said.

"Okay." She said taking out the popcorn.

"So can I?" I asked.

"Depends." She said.

"On what?" I asked.

"Who's going, besides Hayes? And how long is it?" She asked.

"Will, Hayes' brother. Probobaly 5 days." I said grabbing a piece of popcorn.

"I'll think about it." She said.

"Ugh, why can't you just say yes or no?" I asked annoyed.

"I'm about to say no." She said raising her eyebrows.

"Okay. Relax, Felicia." I said putting my hands back up in surrender.

I walked up to my room and changed into an oversized shirt and laid in my bed falling asleep.

I woke up the next morning and smelled the bacon. I sniffed and leaned up. I grabbed my phone and walked downstairs.

"Morning, Honey, I put your breakfast on the table." She said.

I walked over to the table and sat next to Alex. I looked at my plate, there was eggs, sausage, 2 small pancakes, and bacon that spelled out 'Yes'.

"What's this?" I asked.

"Well, my answer to your question."

"Really?" I asked smiling.

"Yes." She said rolling her eyes as I basically jump into a hug.

"Thank you, Mom!" I said.
