My eyes wonder around the school's cafeteria before landing on someone, someone who's most beautiful in my eyes. She looks so happy. Happy without me.
"Mate, are you okay?" my thoughts were interrupted by Jed, his eyes looking over at kateryn before looking back at me.
I shook my head, turning my head to look straight at him. "I let her go."
"Hero-"
I cut him off, "she was my angel, my only one. She was always there for me when i had nobody. she knew things i haven't even told you, my best mate since the 3rd grade. I loved her, yet i let her slip away from me."
My vision got blurry. Blinking away the tears, I felt jed's hand on my back, giving me a little pat, trying to comfort me. i looked back at kateryn, noticing how delicate and happy she was with her new boyfriend.
Why did i let her go?
