flashes of lightning illuminated the night sky as a loud rumble followed through. jet black clouds were littered around the streets of busan as it brought down several inches of precipitation.
in a dimly lit, run-down warehouse, hoseok was pacing back and forth, awaiting news from jimin who's currently on the line with an informant regarding taehyung's whereabouts.
"oh.. okay, thank you." his tone dropped in disappointment.
hoseok advanced anxiously towards jimin as he ended the call after a 10-minute long conversation and slipped his phone back into his pocket.
hoseok's gaze fixed on jimin, waiting for an answer.
another ear-splitting rumble pounded the night sky. it was as if the heavens were answering hoseok on behalf of jimin.
"nothing." jimin sighed.
"he just saw the wrong person. it wasn't taehyung." the shorter one lets out an exasperated sigh and slumped onto the old and dusty sofa, face buried in his hands. hoseok followed, leaving one hand on the younger's back, stroking it in efforts to comfort jimin.
"jimin, i know this is hard but, let's not give up, his body hasn't even been found yet, i highly doubt he's... you know... dead." hoseok tried.
he felt jimin flinch and hoseok immediately regretted it as the word left his mouth. the faint sound of cars zooming past the streets could be heard apart from this deafening silence that was engulfing them whole. judging by jimin's reaction, he didn't seem to take it well. after debating with himself for a full 7 minutes, hoseok decided he was sorry.
"jimin i'm-"
"s'okay, don't apologize, hyung. he's not dead, we'll find him, i know we will." he cuts in before hoseok could finish speaking.
hoseok nodded in reponse and pondered for an instance before standing up, straightening his shirt and dusting the dirt off his pants. he nodded his head towards the door in which his lips curled up into a grin. jimin lifted his head up and gave hoseok a questioning look.
"what are you waiting for? let's get it."
a daunting smile starts to spread across his face as he caught up to hoseok, wrapping his arms around hoseok's figure as they started walking out of the abandoned building, determination evident in their eyes as they thought of their next plan in search for taehyung.
..
the alarm sounded, indicating that classes had ended. jeongguk let out a yawn, balling his fists into the air, one hand still holding onto his ballpoint pen.
jeongguk was greeted with his 2 best friends skipping into his classroom, bickering over who should wash the dishes later on after dinner.
"no, YOU should wash the dishes, you've been pigging out every day, namjoon!" seokjin exclaimed as he sassed away from namjoon. namjoon just grimaced and rolled his eyes playfully as he walked towards the younger one.
"hey jeonggukie~ how was school?" seokjin chimed.
"boring, as usual. i want to go home and continue on my comics, but not before grabbing lunch. wanna come with?" jeongguk asked as he packed all of his stationaries into his bag then throwing in his books one by one.
"only if namjoon agrees to wash the dishes." seokjin challenged, batting an eye at namjoon.
namjoon groaned and sulked but gave in, eventually.
the 3 of them then skipped to jeongguk's favourite ramen place in busan, oishii.
after placing their orders, seokjin sprinkled some shoyu on his saucer before handing the rest of the condiments to the boys.
