"Where's mom and dad?" I ask my little brother who had no idea I was standing behind him as he was too involved in spongebob squarepants.

"They went for dinner" he said not batting an eye from the tv "they left a note for you..on the fridge"

I walk to the kitchen, my eyes immediately land on the neon yellow sticky note on the fridge.

'Will be home very late..don't wait, I left my card order anything you want .. mom x'

I grab the card on the counter and walk to the living room where my brother was "so what do you want for dinner?" I ask as I grab the house phone and sit on the sofa behind him.

"PIZZAAA oh oh and please some mozzarella sticks" for the first time he turns away from the t.v and runs to sit next to me "can I have a chocolate drink too"

I smile, one thing this family had in common was that we were all foodies "ok ok" I dial the number "which kind of pizza do you want?" I ask as I raise the phone to my ear.

"Pepperoni" he murmured in excitement.

"Hi I'd like to place an order, can I have two regular chicken pepperoni pizzas"

"Extra cheese" My brother nudges me.

"With extra cheese please" I smile.

"And a pack of six mozzarella sticks with a can of pepsi....that's all thank you" I end the call after giving him the address.

I smiled, I was genuinely happy for the first time in my life nothing seemed terrible, not even my dad. I felt like I had reason to look forward to the next day, and the days after that "thank you god" I murmured under my breath "thank you for Aiden god" I smiled.

Aiden POV

"You can't be with her Aiden" James, my closest friend says in sympathy, his words were like a bitter candy called truth "do you know how dangerous this is?" he reasoned.

"Since when I have cared about danger James" I tried to argue.

"You don't care but what about her life? Dose she even want this? Have you ever thought about that" his words hit my heart like a rock.

'Maybe she doesn't want me like I want her'
'Maybe she doesn't want to risk her life with me'
'Maybe I've been misreading the situation and all I am is her math teacher'

A million thoughts like these were playing in my head like a tape.

"What do I do?" I murmured hopelessly as I grab my head in frustration.

"Before this gets too out of hand, end it" James calmly advices "be exactly as you are as you are with anyone else, don't give her the extra attention aiden"

I nod slowly "if this is what has to be done than let it be done".
