The Demon has returned

It's been five months since Isabella disappeared. Ministry officials had given up hope of finding her and told us just to assume that she died. I walked quietly to the Whomping Willow, with my hood down. Now, I really don't care if I get smashed by the Willow, or eaten by an animal. Whatever Isabella is going through is defiantly worse.

I sat on one the lumps of the Willow. I'm surprised it didn't try to kill me. Then, I realized I touch the lump that freezes it. I rubbed my eyes and pulled my hair. I've been told that I look sick and tired. Barely sleeping, barely eating, hurting myself all for the fact that the girl that I only loved is gone and might not come back. I don't even care if she can't fulfill that stupid prophecy, I just want her back.

When the Willow woke up again, one of its vines came coming fast towards me. I closed my eyes for the impact but it only grabs my wrist and pull me off of the lump and push me towards the forest.

"What the...? What do you want?!" I kept asking the Willow but it kept pushing me. I took out my wand and shoot fire at the vine. The Willow literally screech and use one of its vines to slap me across the face.

I rubbed my face "Ouch, what was that for?!?"

If it had a face, it slaps it own's on the forehead. The vine (that I brunt) kept pointing at something far away. I looked that direction and saw dragon blood, spread all over trees. Without thinking, I ran fast towards it.

The blood on the trees look new, unlike the "help!" message (which hasn't been washed out). I heard a pained groan from the dark side of the trees.

"Lumos" My wand gave a bright light as I walked towards the sound. Tips of purple hair brighten from the light before the rest of the hair was mixed with blood, both human and dragon blood. The skin looks bruised and tired. I carefully walked around the body; in case something happens.

The face, blood and all, looks familiar. It was a girl, that was obvious, but I guess with all the blood and bruises and deadly cuts, I can barely tell who she is.

I kept looking closer at her face until I recognized her. When I did, I dropped my wand out of shock. I grabbed her by her shoulders and held her close. I whispered in her ear, not wanting to do the other option, which is to yell. Tears fell from my eyes as I pled and pray for her to wake up. At my words, I began to choke.

"Isabella? Please wake up, Isabella. Please come back. Wake up, please. Please, Isabella. Please"

I kissed on her forehead after I couldn't speak again. She was ice cold and her hands lost that warm feeling. She looks beaten up and tired. Isabella's body was too skinny, like she had to destroy organs to be like that. She was so light and her bones feel so fragile that I was scared that I would break one just by moving. I laid my head on her chest to find a heartbeat.

I found two hearts. Well, at least it's better than none.

"Oi, what yer doing here, Brandon?!?" Hagrid came out of nowhere with his flappy dog, Fang. He didn't notice Isabella in my arms, which I find impossible, cause her blood was literally everywhere.

"Do yeh wanna be like....... Isabella?!?" He finally notices Isabella and gets on his knees. He looked at me with questions in his eyes.

"Is she....yer know.....?" I shake my head "no" and in the first time in 9 years, I smiled. Weakly, yes, but still smiled. I missed doing that.

"We gotta geh' her up to the hospital wing!" Hagrid was about to take Isabella from me but hesitated. Another pained groan. I stroked her bloody hair as I looked up at Hagrid.

"I'll get her to the hospital wing, Hagrid. You tell everyone else that she's here. Make sure Jack and Harry contact their godparents. They're at lunch now" He nodded confidently and ran off.

I gently took off my school robe and laid it on her right side. As soon as I stood up, her head nuzzled into my neck. I ran to the castle, careful not to drop Isabella.

I burst into the hospital wing, where it was empty. I laid Isabella on one of the beds and looked for Madame Promfrey. She must've gone to lunch. Goddamn it.

Jake's P.O.V

Harry was talking to Ginny, he looked much better than two months ago. I was showing Aiden a trick with my tongue. It turned out right.

"Eww, Jake!" He did his cute laugh as he wiped his face. It nice to have someone like him around here.

"JAKE! HARRY!" Hagrid yelled as he ran into the Great Hall. Everyone stopped talking. Dumbledore stood up from his seat. So did Harry and I. He stopped in front of me and Aiden.

"What is it, Hagrid?" I asked. He kept breathing between his words.

"Isabella......is back......Brandon......found her......in the......forest......she's alive!"

I gave Harry a look and he nodded. Three seconds later, his quill was moving fast across a paper. Just in time, Hedwig flew in and out with the letter. I ran out of the hall with Aiden and Harry following me.

When we enter the hospital wing, Brandon was there with our very bruised sister. Greek gods... she looked awful.

"Kids!" Dorcas came in with a bunch of healers. We were forced to wait outside with Astoria, Draco, Luna, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny. Aiden held my hand tightly and told me good things.

One hours later, we were sleeping on each other. Someone was shaking me awake. My eyes found Aiden's sweet ones.

"Dorcas said we can come in" He whispered in my ear. Harry heard that and immediately come into the room. I went after him.

On the same bed, Isabella, who was still sleeping, looked slightly better than before. After months of torture, I expected less worse than that. At least, she's safe here.

Harry took one of Isabella's hand and I took the other one. We miss our sister/friend/crush/goddaughter/student. Harry's eyes began to water. I hugged him by the shoulders.

"Only one question" I pointed out. Everyone looked at me confused. I took a deep breath.

"Brandon" I faced him. His eyebrow raised.

"Were you or were you not just smiling two minutes ago?" He laughed and then he nodded.

Everyone rolled their eyes and laughed. Out of the corner of my eye, Isabella's skin glowed brighter. That only happens when she can sense happiness.
