Faith Walks

A faith walk is writing a poem that must be written but not knowing how to start

Like standing up to speak and hoping the words you spoke make sense to another

It’s apologizing for something you didn’t mean to do;

your emotions just got the better of you

A faith walk is like accepting you’ll mess up and accepting the permission to move on

Like that thing you always knew you could do, then the time came—and The LORD

called on you—You know?! Like the coach entrusting the win to you, the pressure’s (all) on you

I’ve heard the reason it’s called a faith walk, is because you can’t see in the storm

A faith walk is not knowing where you’re going, how or why

Only that you have to keep going, that you cannot stop, that there’s no place to hide

A faith walk is you asking for a reset button, being too overwhelmed, too frustrated to cry

A faith walk is knowing: If it were not for The LORD on your side

A faith walk is trust enabled and by HIS mercy sustained

because a faith walk calls on you to remember all those Praises you gave

because it’s easy to Praise when you’re getting your way, when answers are immediate

but, A faith walk is going toward it, though you cannot see it

A faith walk, might make you feel crazy

Might cause you to question, what kind of Christian are you?

This walk should be easy, you’ll say because, you know The LORD, but—

A faith walk my friends, isn’t perfection it happens in spite of questions, disregarding emotions

A faith walk is like knowing a package is coming, and not knowing the arrival date

It’s seeing gifts just for you, but having to pace yourself cause you can’t handle them all at once
