"I don't think I know him." Gabby says.
"Well, duh, you haven't met him yet." I say while grabbing my bottle of sweet tea from my lunchbox. I never get tired of my sweet tea."You brought sweet tea again?" Rain mocks. I nod while chugging my tea. It was delicious. Grace starts smirking at me. I think she's planning a little something. She leans into Rain to tell her something. I strain to listen, but I was too busy gulping down my sweet beverage.
"So, you know him?" Rain asks me. I stare at her with a 'I told you this already' look.
"Yeah, we went to the same school in kindergarten. I didn't think I would get to see him again." I look away, remembering the good times we used to have, they were fun. I wasn't the most popular kid back in my younger years, and Tyler was the only kid that stuck by me.
I take a bag of chips from my lunchbox, but right when I was about to open the thing, the stupid bell rings, signaling to everyone to get ready for their next classes. I say my goodbyes to my friends and rush off to my locker, saying 'excuse me' and 'I'm sorry' as I bump into a few people. I finally arrive at my locker and turn the lock. I grab my binder and my folders, in a mess, as I try and rush to get my schedule. My next class was English Language Arts, or ELA, for short. I stuff my schedule back in my folder and shut the locker. I turn the combination back to zero and zoom off.
"Ugh, where's Room 306?" I quietly mumble to myself. I look at the room numbers as I zoom past them. 300, 302, 304, and finally 306. I reach for the door handle, but as I open it, another guy opens it at the same time and bumps into me, knocking me and all my stuff to the floor.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I was just trying to get to my-" I cut him off, rising to my feet and looking into his eyes, feeling my face warm up in anger. "Well, who do you think you are to just bump into someone and-" I quickly realized I was staring into someone familiar. His long brown hair and light brown eyes. His facial features were clearly distinguishable.
"...Ty?!" I quickly feel awkward as I feel the other people's stares drill into my body.
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
I honestly feel somewhat proud of this chapter, but I could've done better.
On a bit of a happier note, I'm so happy I have more readers than what I've started out yet, 200 reads may not seem like much, but to me, it's a really good amount.
I almost gave up on both of my books, until I saw my notifications stating that people have been commenting and asking me to write more, I wouldn't have written this chapter if it weren't for you guys. You guys are great! I'll be writing a bit more often, so, yeah.
I'll be looking forward for my next chapter xD
