(Okay so this chapter is a bit slow, and I'm sure Chapter 2 will be also, but I swear it'll pick up. Also, Mowbrae has no Hanahaki at this point but was born mute so they'll be using sign language.)
(The entire thing is in Isodola's Pov btw, so there will be no mention of Mowbrae's thoughts.)
-------------------------------
Isodola would be lying if she said she didn't miss her family.
It had been about half a month apart from her home and she felt incredibly homesick. Of course, where she came from her house wasn't really memorable. But the people on the inside meant the world to her.
The dark-skinned elf had been dwelling within a small house she had rented out from a kind old human lady. It had two beds a kitchen and even better, a balcony.
Isodola had loved the balcony at her parents home. She had her youngest sister would go out and play on it after Isodola came back from work. Her dad would usually tell her to make herself useful. But the elf loved being with her sister and could live with her dad yelling at her later.
The small house reminded her of her sister. She had been so sad when Isodola was kicked out. Her round blue eyes had the biggest tears swelling up.
It broke Isodola's heart when she had latched onto her leg in an attempt to stop her older sister. Obviously, it didn't do anything. But the last thing Isodola wanted to do was brush off her own sister.
Crickets in the night had gotten too loud and Isodola needed some fresh air. A bar was the last place her parents would've wanted Isodola. But they weren't here now, she was an adult now.
Bars were just as she had guessed. Loud, smelly and filled with old probably unemployed men. Isodola had been in one before, not as a guest but on the job to get some dude. He had really been concentrating on his poker match so the job was quick and easy.
This was the first time Isodola got a good look.
Mostly likely Isodola would've walked out soon after since she really had no taste for beer at that time. If it wasn't for the purple haired figure sitting at the bar counter.
They had the longest purple hair Isodola had ever seen. Their ears stuck pointily out. Another elf.
Their clothing was a brown vest like tunic hung over a cream shirt with a hood. Along with brown boots and light brown pants. This was enough for Isodola to tell they weren't rich at all.
"What can I get for ya, ma'am?" The bartender called out to Isodola as she took a seat next to the purple hair elf.
Chuckling to herself as her eye caught a paper that the elf had scribbled over she responded, "I'll take a beer, and whatever this lovely elf wants." Yup, flirting what a great way to introduce herself.
The elf put up their head at the mention of them. They had the most gorgeous and sharp blue eyes, reminding Isodola of her own sister.
Isodola felt herself blush and sat down to face the bar in a hope they hadn't noticed. Crap she better not be falling for some random stranger in a bar.
Sticking out her hand in the elve's direction she managed to pull out a smile, "Hiya, I'm Isodola."
She instantly regretted this move as she saw that the elf was missing an arm, the couldn't give the handshake in return even if they wanted too. The shock must've shown on Isodola's face since the elf smirked and pulled over a sheet over a paper with their one hand.
