a normal sunday morning?

beep-beep, beep-beep!

the sound of my annoying alarm is ringing in my ears. i lazily get my phone out from under my pillow to stop the noisy sound.

"today's gonna be great!" i say to myself in the most weakest voice ever, while i sit up and stretch every limb and muscle in my body. yet i know that in reality, i really just want to stay in bed all day, eat popcorn and watch netflix. probably another romantic movie because that's ALWAYS what i end up finding.

but i promised my mom to always do great in school and to focus on getting my homework done as well because i never want to disappoint her.

after my dad left the three of us (my little sister too), which was 2 years ago, my mom has always been working very hard for the whole entire family and i admire her a lot. she's always been such a strong woman. a true role model to me.

SO - my solution was to make her very happy and proud every single day. and that was one priority i would always remember.

but today's sunday. the happiest day of the week, they say, but tomorrow is monday which means.... school. sigh. but my mom means the most to me, so it didn't really matter. as long as i have my friends in school to surround myself with, i'll be fine.

i suddenly get a text message. i check to see who it is.

a new message: from jiyeon 🧸

oh my god. jiyeon is my BEST best friend. we've been close since kindergarten. i clearly remember how we became friends. and it was just a simple thing that made us connect; we had the same interests.
she always loves the things i love and vice versa. she always knows how to make me feel better after a breakdown. she's my happy pill and i'm honestly so happy to have her by my side. we are so strongly bonded.

i open the message, to see what she sent me.

jiyeon 🧸:
heeeeeeeeey, girly(;

me:
eyo.

jiyeon 🧸:
uM i just wanted to ask you; have u checked ur messenger?? the group chat????

jiyeon 🧸:
people in our class have heard rumors about a new student starting in oUr class. EVERYONE'S FREAKING OUT!! ESPECIALLY THE GIRLS.

jiyeon 🧸:
because apparently, ITS A BOY. 👀 JSJSKSN

me:
wowowow... what are u freaking out about ????

me:
its JUST a new student, what's so special bout that????

me:
no new student gets so much attention?

jiyeon 🧸:
well first of all; there are nO good looking male students in our class pLuS who knows ?? maybe he might look attractive? or be clever and smart??

jiyeon 🧸:
or be THAT prince charming on a white horse yk 👀👀

me:
oKay bUt yOu aRe rEaLLy creeping me out with those eyes sToB iT-

me:
and honestly i don't care 🤷🏻‍♀️ yall can go drool over a new student in class and ill sit therE: uNbOthErEd.

me:

me:
oH is that a bet i sense here????

i chuckled slightly while looking down into my phone.

jiyeon 🧸:
oH hELL yeah it sure is!

a few minutes went by, before i replied to her.

me:
....deal.
