**Season 1**
I stood next to my father and mother on the upper walkway of the castle as Robb and Jon were down on the ground beneath, teaching Bran how to shoot a bow.
Bran released the first arrow. Missing the target and hitting the barrel next to it. I smiled to myself and shook my head. He was young, over time he'd get better.
Robb laughed to himself as he smiled and shook his head, stepping back as Jon came to talk to him.
Jon placed his hands on Bran's shoulders, leaning in close, "Go on, Father's watching." The three of them looked up at us for a brief moment, "And your mother and sister." Bran gave a half smile and small nod as I nodded to him.
Five more misses. Jon, Robb, and little Rickon all laughed at poor Brann. I let out a small laugh as I leaned forward, "And which one of you was a marksman at ten?" They all turned to look me, including mother and father. "You were close dear sister." Robb gave a small smirk as I rolled my eyes at the lot. It was no secret how good I was, at everything really. At a young age I would be able to take them all, no matter what it was. Swords, fighting, archery, hell even needle point and singing.
"Keep practicing, Bran. Go on." Father called down to Bran as he gave a defeated nod. Mother wrapped an arm with mine as I stood by her. Most likely saying the same little prayer I had been for my poor brother.
We watched as Jon leaned back down to Bran's level as he knocked another arrow, "Don't think too much, Bran."
As Bran drew back I saw Robb studying his stance, "Relax your bow arm." 'Exactly what I was thinking too Robb.' I said to myself, with a small smile on my face. We waited for Bran to release his arrow. One did hit the target, right in the center. But when we looked to Bran, his was still knocked. I leaned forward over the railing to see my younger sister, Arya, doing a curtsy with a bow in her hand. You could see the anger on Bran's face as he dropped the bow and chased after her. Leaving father, mother, Robb, Jon, Rickon, and I to all laugh at the childishness they were showing. Robb and Jon called after Bran, telling him to run faster and to go after her, all the while laughing.
Father, mother and I were soon drawn away from the moment. "Lord Stark." We all turned at the mention of my father. "My ladies." Ser Rodrik Cassel walked towards us, Theon Greyjoy close behind. My mother and I smiled at them and did a slight nod, letting him continue. "A guardsman just rode in from the hills. They've captured a deserter from the Night's Watch."
I glanced to mother, she had sullen face as she looked to father, who was no longer smiling at the thought of what he knew to do. Father looked to Theon, "Get the lads to saddle their horses." Theon walked away as Father and I stepped forward.
"Do you have to?" Mother looked between us.
"He swore an oath, mother." I gave her a sad look as I rested a hand on her shoulder.
"Law is law, my lady." Ser Rodrik added. Mother became stone faced as she shook her head and looked away from us, moving my hand from her shoulder.
Father turned to me, "Tell Bran he's coming too." I nodded to him and left, Ser Rodrik following behind me.
"Ser Rodrik, find Bran. I'll head to stables. Jon and Robb are there already. I'll tell them myself and get the horses together." I glanced to Ser Rodrik as he gave me a questioning look. "It's not the first time I've seen a man die Ser Rodrik. However, it is Bran's first. I will be there. I have to be there."
"Of course my Lady. I'll find him." I gave him a short nod as I moved to the stables to tell Robb and Jon of what was to happen.
I stood a few steps behind Bran, Jon next to me and Robb a few steps in front of us. Father stood near the stone that would soon have blood dripping down it. We watched as two guards brought the deserter forward, no older than Robb and Jon by the looks. I could see the remorse on father's face. He hated doing it, but he knew it had to be him to swing the sword.
