Nanako was a rather normal young woman, 25, living in Shibuya Tokyo, typical housewife to a salaryman and with a daughter named Sachiko, the age of 3. Nanako had long silky black hair, was slim and short. She loved wearing dresses, baking and reading. Sachiko was the apple of her eye, the same silky black hair, about shoulder length, sweet and quiet, loved to play dress up.  Things had started out well...heck better than well, down right like out of a fairytale. Her now husband, had been so kind and caring when they dated, he seemed like the perfect man, her Tokyo prince. But Nanako noticed small things over the years, like small cracks in a wooden floor her husband had slowly showed more flaws. Sachiko did her best to brush them aside, for this was the man she loved so dearly, the man who'd given her little Sachiko. But eventually it was getting harder to ignore it, the cracks were turning to gaping holes. The demands were getting more and more complex, the small fights they used to have growing into larger more heated ones as of late. Often little Sachiko would cry in her room when she could hear them fighting. One night things came to a boiling point. Sachiko asleep after watching a movie and Nanako cleaning up her husband started to drill into her about how she'd forgotton to make him the snack he'd asked for and when Nanako tried to appologize explaining how Sachiko had taken her attention he smacked her across the face telling her she always needs to think and remember everything. Tears stung at her eyes, she appologized bowing low trying not to show her emotion. Things like this continued for a few months, sometimes Nanako felt hopeless and she worried for Sachiko. She felt they needed to leave, but it wouldn't be easy, her husband was controlling and smart. She decided to slowly form a plan. During the day 3 weeks from now she would pack a bag for her and Sachiko and travel to Kyoto where her best friend Nayuki from university now lived. Her friend had agreed to let Nanako and Sachiko stay with her until Nanako could find stable work and everything seemed safe. Her husband was gone during the day at work so it was a good time. Nanako felt the key was not to act as if anything were off, to act normal and then get away before he could sense it. There was lots of planning to be done, Nanako sent her resume to her friend so she could send it out to potential employers and get a head start for Nanako. Nanako would prepare everything for the day. She prayed it would work, they just couldn't stay.
