Death

Someone passed away

Close to me

I don't have words

I can't breathe

My floor is sinking

My legs are shaking

This can't be true

This wasn't supposed to happen

This wasn't the plan

This can't be what God wants

Slowly the truth starts to sink in

Slowly the world seems upside down

The things that should of mattered, didn't matter before

And things I ran after don't matter anymore

Everything seems so distant

My soul went with the person

The person I want in my arms

Something warm is drifting down my face

Someone just hugged my case

Someone just cried into my shoulder

Someone is saying some words to soothe me

Push me, pull me, hug me all you want

Nothing's gonna stop the pain in my heart

My heart is bleeding

My pain is growing

I am choking on my tears

I am face to face with my biggest fears.
