For my Cat

Dear Gypsy,

Thank you for being here with me for most of my life. When I'm upset you would wipe away all of my tears and you would bring a smile upon my face. Everyday when I'm away from you I would miss your soft fur and your peaceful purring. Every night I love to cuddle with you and fall asleep next to you. Whenever I see you a smile would spread across my lips. The first thing I see when I come home is you laying on the couch waiting for me to return. When I would enter the house I am greeted by your soft meow and your love. As you got older it was hard for me to see you get weaker but your love would get stronger. You would always be by my side everyday waiting for me to relax and snuggle with you. Everyday when I see you, my eyes would lighten and I instantly want to lay beside you and pat you. I've always loved your colourful fur coat and your life filled eyes. No matter how many animals you kill or injure or how angry I am at you, always remember, I will always love you. Some nights when I'm not home with you but somewhere else it is hard for me to fall asleep. When I first saw you in that pet shop I instantly knew that you were going to be my best friend and we were always going to be by each other's sides. Thank you Gypsy, for all the love and happiness you gave to me. I will always miss you and you will always be in my heart, forever.

This is for my cat Gypsy. She is getting older and weaker and I know that soon...she'll pass away. Gypsy is laying with me as I write this, wiping away my tears. I love you Gypsy ❤️
