Vanessa's POV
Sam got on second place, which was very awesome. As soon as he was dry I ran to him, hugged him, and congratulated him. He seemed very happy and satissfied with him self. He got a little silver medal and if had a little swiming guy recorded on it, it was actually cute.
He took me home after that and he stayed for dinner, my mom questioned him on everything and anything! I was starting to worry that they would scared him away, but he didn't look a bit uncomfortable. He listened to my mom and answered every single question kindly. It seemed so natural to him.
When he left that night he told me that he had enjoyed the time he spent with me, and he offered to take me to school and I couldn't say no. I needed a ride anyways. I think he might like me. But i don't really like him that way, maybe as a friend maybe even bestfriend but nothing more than that, and he'll just have to deal with that. Besides we just met.
During the week we went to everyclass together and we always sat next to eachother and in lunch he would always bring my tray, while I waited at the table. During the week some guys tried to talk with me. It was weird though, the all would be so into themselves and bragging that they had cars and blah, I just stand there and nod to everything they said, sometimes I wouldn't even listen to what they said. I thought it was supposed to be the other way, but what can you do when that happens, just deal with it, just like with everything.
William wouldn't talk to me, whenever he passed by he would either, stop give me a kiss in the cheek say hi and keep walking or he would just wink and keep walking. Which i didn't mind, I would always look blankly at him or I would give him a small smile. At least he wasn't trapping me in conversations like the other guys.
Today was finally friday. My first week was over and from my point of view time went by real quick.
"So are you coming to the movies wih me or what?" The guy that I was 'talking' with said.
"Sorry no. I have plans for today, and I honestly don't want to go out with you." I turned on my heels and left. I knew I was being rude to him, but that should give him the hint to stay away.
I got to my locker and started stuffing everything in it, I don't take anything home, I usually do good at school, so I don't really need to study at home. I fixed my books one next to the other and pulled out my flats. I keep another pair of shoes in my locker just in case, and my heels were killing me, so as soon as I got in the car I would put them on. I shoved them into my bagpack. Just as I was about to close the locker I hear a knock on it.
I closed the door and found William leaning against the locker next to mine smiling. "Hello." He greeted me with his signature smirk.
"Hey." I said showing a fake smile.
"Hey I wanted to know if you wanted me to give you your ride home and I can wait while you get ready." He cocked his head to the side.
"Umm," I thought about it for a minute. "Thanks but no thanks, Sam's taking me. You can come pick me up at my home at 3:30ish." I said as I swung my bag over my shoulder and saw Sam heading this way.
"Okay... See you then." He got closer, kissed my cheek and left.
"Bye." I said back.
I walked toward where sam was coming, and met him half way. "Let's get you home." he said as he hugged me. He swung his arm over my shoulder and we walked throught the almost empty halls. We walked out the front doors and I went throught the parking lot. I slipped into the passenger's seat, and buckeld my seat belt.
When I got home I reached across and kissed his cheek "Thanks for driving me." I smiled. I was opening the door.
"Are you dating William?" He blurted.
