Till You Came Around

Chapter 9

A/n I wasn’t going to update today but what the hell! I just had to.  I’ve been going through a lot so.  Understand if its not so good.  Lately I can’t find the words to say.

 William's POV

After school ended I got into my car and started the engine.  I put the car on drive and pulled out of the parking lot.  There wasn't that much traffic so I would probably get there in just a few minutes.

I pulled up on her drive way and turned off the engine.  I got out off the car thinking about what I could say to her.  Maybe something like 'I'm so sorry for what I did! I just let myself go and I couldn’t help myself with you looking the way you were, so innocent and beautiful-' no! That’s too much.

Maybe something like 'I'm sorry that I took you by surprise.  But we both now you wanted it as bad as I did-' no! Then I would sound desperate

Um what about  'I'm sorry for kissing you without your permission.  But I’m not sorry I don’t regret it! Because I really like-' no! I don’t like anyone! I don’t love.  Not anymore.  

Ugh! I’ll just have to come up with some shit.  I thought as I pressed the doorbell's button on the door.  Nothing.  I waited for maybe 5 minutes just standing there.  I pressed the button again.  After a few moments Vanessa's mom opened the door and smiled warmly at me.

"Hello. How can I help you?" she asked still smiling at me.

"Um." I scratched the back of my neck "I came to see Vanessa."

"Oh.  Yeah.  She's not home.  She's at the hospital right now." she said still smiling.

My eyes widened! "IN THE HOSPITAL?" I almost screamed.

"Oh dear Lord no! She's just visiting her friend, he had a car crash yesterday.  I think his name was Sam. " A wave of relief flooded me.  I thought she was hurt.

"Oh okay.  Then I’ll just go look for her there." I said pushing my hands in my pockets

"Very well" she grinned. "Goodbye" then she just closed the door.

I turned around and ran to my car.  I got in and headed to the hospital.  I know that this could actually wait but when her mom told me she was with Sam I suddenly had this bad sensation everywhere and a bad taste in my mouth.  I really didn’t like that guy near her, even though I knew he was a good guy.  And a no body, but it just made me so mad that she spent so much time with him and she's not even my girlfriend.

I parked the car outside the hospital and entered.  I went to the front desk.  There was young blond lady typing thing on the computer.  I stood in front of her and she looked up.  Her eyes were blue and she looked like a flirt.  She smiled up at me "Good afternoon.  How may I help you?" she asked.

"Uh, I’m looking for-" I looked around not knowing the guy's full name.  And right next to the Soda machine I saw her. She was right there. Vanessa was there. "Oh.  Never mind.  Thank you" I said without even looking back at her.

I walked to Vanessa and tapped her right shoulder and stood next to her left.  She looked to her right just like I knew she would.  Then she turned to me.  When she realized it was me she frowned and started to walk away.

"Hey wait" I said going after her.

She kept walking.  She went to the elevator and pressed the going up button.  She acted like I wasn’t even there.  "Hey please listen to me." she kept her head high without sparing me a glance.

"I know you’re hearing me.  Look I’m sorry for what happened last time.  I just couldn’t help myself okay? I really don’t want you mad at me! I would give anything up just so that we can be friends again.  Please forgive me." I placed my hand on my back and crossed my fingers.  Then I said "I swear it won’t happen again." The doors slid open and she got in.  I went in with her.

"Please forgive me." I said standing in front of her.  She looked me in the eyes blankly.  She looked away.  "Please." I tried again.  She kept acting like I wasn’t even there.  I bend to my knees in front of her dramatically, hoping to gain some reaction.  "Please Vanessa! I’m on my knees begging you to forgive me." I said looking at her with my puppy face.

She gaped down at me. "What are you doing?" she asked surprised. YES! She spoke to me!

"I’m on my knees! Asking you to please forgive me? I don’t want you to be mad at me." I pleaded.

She looked around the elevator and looked at herself on the mirror.  She finally sighed.  "Stand up." I did as she asked me to.  "Okay.  I forgive you.  But I don’t want you doing that ever again! Not without my permission." So that meant I could kiss her if she asked me to? I could do that.  I smirked in my head.

"Okay I promise I will not touch you unless you ask me to." I said placing my hand over my heart.  The doors slid open behind me.  She smiled and rolled her eyes.  Then she walked around me and out of the elevator.  I followed her.

We entered a room and on the bed I saw Sam.  He was watching her, then his eyes passed to me "What's he doing here?" he asked.

"Oh.  He just came by to say hi" She said casually.  She sat down next to him.  He was lying on the bed and she was on a chair.  

"Hi." I said walking over to him offering him my left hand.  He raised his hand and I saw the cast.  Oops I change to my right hand and he shook it.

" Sam,  I need to go.  My mom's freaking out." She said standing up and giving him a kiss in the cheek.  Then she came to me and kissed my cheek.

She was walking out the door when it hit me "Do you have a ride?" I asked her.  She stopped walking.  I could take that as no.

"Uh,  I’ll just go walking.  Or maybe get a taxi." She shrugged without looking back.

"I could give you a ride.  It's getting dark.  And I don’t want you to somehow get hurt." I said going to her.

"No it’s fine! I’ll be okay, I don’t want to cause trouble.  Or to take your time, you need to get home too." she tried to find an excuse.

"Oh I don’t mind.  In fact, I have to go by your house to get to mine, so it would be my pleasure to take you and make sure you arrive safely." I said brushing past her knowing that she would eventually follow.  I looked over my shoulder "Good bye Samuel, get better."

I pressed the going down button on the elevator and waited.  Vanessa was standing right next to me.  HA! Got her!

We didn’t speak until we were in my car.  "Thanks for taking me.  But you didn’t have to. " she said looking down at her hands.

"But I want to."  She looked up at me in surprise.  I smiled at her.  After a second she returned my smile.  Right there I knew that someday she would be mine.

A/n hey guys.  I know it’s not good at all.  But it's because my life stinks right now and I can’t think properly.  Sometimes I just want to dig a hole, jump in and stay there until everything gets better.  But nothing gets better.  But I try keeping my hope alive.  And I hope you all do the same!
