Luke's POV

My mind was really hurting since I couldn't think of how I could ask Jane to be my girlfriend, officially. I rubbed my temples trying to relax although this massive weight of urgency to do this was on my shoulders.

I need the perfect plan; not to big but nothing to small, just something that will blow her mind but then again not too much. Just the perfect moment in the perfect place with the most perfect girl. I wanted to ask her in a romantic and creative way but my mind couldn't think of shit.

Then a person popped in my head to help me to do this. Alaska. Getting my phone off the coffee table, unlocking it and calling her. She picked up after the first ring.

Alaska: Hellooo-ooo

She greeted longer than supposed to but that's Alaska.

Me: Hey. I need your help with something...

Alaska: You want me to help you create the 'perfect' moment to ask Jane to be your girlfriend.

She surprisingly read my mind.

Alaska: Luke when you paced back and forth while we were supposed to be hanging out, mumbling-well at least you thought you were- your cliche ideas on how you are planning ask her to be your girlfriend and kept remind yourself that it had to be 'perfect'. I could tell you needed help with it.

Me: Ohh.. I really should consider talking to myself in my head rather than aloud. So you'll help me?

Alaska: Yep! When are you planning on asking her?

Me: Tomorrow night.

Alaska: THAT soon?? Shit we better get started with ideas then. I'm on my way to your place.

Me: But wait don't you ha-

She ended the call before I finished my questions clearly not caring.

Ashton's POV

I coughed, clearing my throat at the same time pulling my shirt down while my pants up. My knuckles met Jane's door, knocking three times.

She opened the door.

"Ash!" She hugged me tightly; surprised by presence but acting like she expected me to come. "Sorry I didn't properly welcome you back before." Jane apologized, stepping to the side welcoming me again to her home. Closing the door with her heel.

"Don't worry about it. It was two weeks ago." "Yes, but I mean you're back from Australia! Permanently, I hope?" I nodded sending her a big smile, she did too in return. "You said hi to Ann for me aye?" "Of course! Hell, she kept asking all these questions about you for half of the time I was there."

She chuckled sitting herself onto the couch while I say next to her. "What kind of questions?"

I twiddled my thumbs when responding to her question, "You know like how's your life been going. What you're currently doing. And like.." I coughed, "About us." Her face tensed and her focus wasn't on me anymore but on the ceiling. "An-and uh.. Wha-wh-what did you um.. say?" Jane couldn't stop stuttering and shaking so I touched her hand to calm her but she winced.

"We don't have to talk about this now you know, Jane." Me, obviously hoping to avoid this subject because it always creates such tension that you could cut it with a knife as well as awkwardness and quietness were you can hear a fucking pin drop.

"But I want too." "Now what did you," She took a deep breathe before speaking again, "Say?" Jane was staring at me again whilst I tried to look at her but my thumbs intrigued me ever so. "I told her that we broke up and I know that I shoulda told her before since it was a while ago but I really didn't have the strength to. But that's it. And I'm certain that she sensed it was uncomfortable to talk about it so she never asked any further questions."
