Just A Nobody

Chapter 4

We drove to the roller rink. 

 When we arrived, I quickly jumped out of his car and ran to the front door.

"Hey wait up" I could hear him laugh

"You need to hurry up" I corrected him while also laughing.

We walked in and got our skates. 

As a kid, my dad used to take me rollerskating all the time. I remember laughing and dancing to the music while my dad would attempt to skate without falling.

I quickly got started skating, I missed this feeling, I mean the roller rink is my happy place. The music, the lights, everything about it made me feel so alive.

I looked back to see that Cole was still on the outside of the rink, he looked a bit worried. I quickly skated over to him. 

"You okay?" I asked 

"Oh um, yeah, It's just the last time I went roller skating was when I was 15." He nervously laughed. 

I chuckled to myself before sticking out my hand for him to take. He hesitated for second but quickly took my hand with a smile which I gladly returned. 

*Coles POV*

I took her hand with a smile. 

Okay so this is going to sound so cliche but I swear as soon as our hands touched I could feel this weird electric feeling go up my arm.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a really bad skater. I could feel the shakiness in my legs as I fought to keep balance.

"Hey you're doing great!" she said, excitement filled her voice. 

I look up from the ground to see her face glowing with excitement. Her smile made my heart skip a beat and the way the light hit her beautiful y/c/h. It was something out of a movie... she was something out of a movie. 

"Cole? Earth to Cole" I heard her voice say, causing me to rip out of my trance.

"Um yea-yes" I stammered 

"you were staring " She laughed, a slight blush crept across her face, it was beautiful. 

"Oh, I was?" I laughed to hide my nervous voice, " Sorry" 

"It's ok" She smiled sweetly. 

We continue to skate hand in hand. We were laughing and talking about stupid thing. And I'm not gonna lie I was actually getting pretty good at this thing-

"Ah" I slightly yell as I trip on my own skate. 

* Y/N POV*

 I was laughing when I felt a sudden wait on my arm dragging me down.

"ah," I heard Cole yell as I fell with him. 

"Are you ok?" I say laughing so hard my eyes were closed.

"y-yeah" I heard him say with a shaky breath causing me to stop laughing and look at him. I guess I didn't realize I fell on him because our faces were really close together.

"Hi" I breathed out

"Hey" He whispered 

I didn't really notice that our faces were slowly inching closer until our lips were only centimeters apart. "This is it, I'm gonna kiss him," I thought to myself. I could feel his breath against my lips.

"Hey, you guys ok" I heard someone say. 

I quickly pull away and stood up, Cole doing the same. 

"Yeah yeah, we good thank you," I say to the employee. He was actually quite attractive, he had dark brown longish hair and beautiful blue eyes, very faint freckles scattered across his nose. I could feel my face heat up. I Noticed him look me up and down before giving me a smirk, and I think Cole noticed too. 

Cole snaked his hand around my waist, it was a firm grip but didn't hurt. He just glared at the boy in front of us.

"Um, you two have a great night," The boy said awkwardly before skating away. 

I looked up at Cole and chuckled to myself. 

"I'm gonna go outside for a second" 

"Wait why?" Cole asked, his brows frowned a bit.

"I just need some fresh air, it smells too much like sweat and horny teens," I say with a laugh before skating off and returning my skates.

I put on my shoes and walk outside, the Cold air immediately hitting my skin causing me to shiver. 

I pull out a cigarette and let it hang loosely from my lips, I took out the lighter and lit the cigarette, taking in a deep breath of the toxic smoke. 

I know I said I smoke when I'm stressed, and I swear I'm trying to quit, but because of our little incident while skating I felt very anxious. 

I took another puff when I heard the door open.

"So she smokes" I heard Cole say behind me

"Only when She's nervous" I replied, "so you're nervous right now?" He asked while walking over to me.

"A little" I admit shyly 

Cole chuckled at my response. He swung his arm around my shoulder and took the cigarette out of my hand

I thought he was gonna through it on the ground and tell me I should quit but instead he brought it up to his lips and took a deep breath in. He exhaled letting the smoke escape from his lungs. I'm gonna be honest it was hot AF. 

"So he smokes," I say while crossing my arms and raising my eyebrow.

He chuckled deeply, " Come on I'll take you home" 

We road silently in his car. I looked out of the window at the lights going by. 

Before I knew it we were at my apartment building. 

Cole jumps out of the car and jogs over to the passenger side opening the door for me. 

"A gentleman as always," I say while stepping out

"You know it," He says with a smile. God, that smile.

"Um, I had a lot of fun tonight," I say looking down at the ground

"yeah me too" 

"I-I guess I'll see you later then," I said while turning around to head into the complex

"Y/n wait" I heard Cole say causing me to turn around.

"Yes?" I asked

Cole looked at me for a second, then his eyes moved down to my lips before back up to my eyes. 

Before I knew it his lips crashed into mine. I was taken by shock at first but soon melted into the kiss. My arms snaked around his neck, his around my waist. Our lips moved perfectly in sync with each other. Everything just felt so right. 

He pulled away and rested his forehead on mine

"I should have done that sooner" He breather

"Damn straight" I laughed before looking him in the eyes, " I'll see you later" I smiled before giving him a quick peck on the lips. 

I Turned back around leaving cole on the sidewalk and walked into the building. 

I swear that boy will be the death of me.
