Here I was. Where you ask? In the woods. Why you ask? Well, it was to hunt. I needed the blood, but I had to be careful. More and more humans are trecking through the woodland area I was forced to call home.
I could feel my eyes slowly turning black, I have yet to hunt in months. Boom, boom, boom. There it was. A heartbeat. I switched my course and followed the sound which made my dead heart flutter. It was an antelope, which I could easily hunt if IT WASN'T HALFWAY ON TRIBAL LAND!
I've been here for roughly half a year. But I've learnt alot. Like I'm not the only freak. I got a job as a police officer since being a firefighter isn't the best choice to be honest, nor is a nurse or doctor. There is a downside, criminals are judgy. Though, it's not everyday you see a pale ass girl with one bright greeny-blue- gray eye and one that-is now black- changes colour. Weird, I know but trust me I'm confused too. My bright greeny-blue-gray eye? I'm werewolf, well I was until I was turned in 1843. Conveniently, it happened when Major J.Whitlock of my village went missing. I'm still part werewolf since I managed to kill the attacker before they could suck me dry. They?
Vampires! My other half. Anyway I have this one tattoo on my shoulderblade with my soul mate's initials on, don't ask because I don't know either. Anyway, the initials are JH/C.

There's another one. I snapped up and ran to the owner of this heartbeat. A mountain lion! Perfect! And close to home. The hunger must have made me forget I was on tribal land because just I was about to pounce on the beast....
