He'd be disappointed.
"I know." The woman said, taking a swig of her beer.
"God, I know." She said, over looking the city. The rooftop she sat on showcases the colorful streetlights of the small city below.Addict.
"Yeah," She said as she lit her cigarette, taking a long hit. Her makeup was smeared, her small dress drenched from jumping in the pool. The parties sounds drowned out around her as she stared blankly at her surroundings.
He's alive.
"He's dead. You know that." She said, flicking her cigarette over the edge of the roof. Her bare feet dangled over the edge, her feet swaying over the hundred foot cliff under her.
"He's gone. He's been gone for years. I'm hallucinating. Those visions were fake. I'm even talking to myself for Christ's sake." She said, laughing.
"Fuck." She added, tossing the empty bottle over the edge. She couldn't even hear it shatter as she feel back, her head hitting the shingles.
"Ow."
She took another hit from her cigarette, staring into the vast darkness of the night sky. The tattoo on her wrist seemed to mock her, along with the various scars marking her body. A permanent reminder of her roots.
"Just let it go (Name), let them go." She said, closing her eyes. The alcohol didn't do much to her at this point. She had been drowning herself in poison for so long she became immune.
As soon as she flicked the cigarette bud away she felt her eye flutter shut.
"Not now." She mumbled, falling into oblivion.———
"Can't sleep?" The little girl flung the sheets off her, staring with heavy lids at her twin. her long (color) hair cascaded down her back as she walked.
"Yeah." She said, pouting. He rolled his eyes, causing her to stick her tongue out.
"Nightmares?" He asked, making her shake her head. He cocked his head, questioning the answer. She stood, her tiny feet paddling against the ground as she made her way over to him.
She crawled into his bed, laying so her feet were where his head was.
"I dreamt you left me." She whispered, eyes glistening. He listened quietly,
"I don't want to be alone Five.""I would never leave you." He said honestly, looking toward the other five year old.
"It's probably a nightmare.""I don't get nightmares. Your going to leave me. I dreamt it, Five, and you know about my dreams." She insisted, tears trailing down her cheeks. Her voice was shaken, along with quick and frantic words. He smiled, holding out his pinky. She looked at it for a moment, before locking her own to his.
"I promise I'd never. You go where I do. Ok?" He reassured, making her smile. She leaned over and hugged him tightly.
"Ok, I trust you."

When she opened her eyes once more, she was no longer on the roof.
"I took you down, the party's over." A voice said, causing her to harshly turn her head. Standing there was a man with dark curly brown locks. He turned, and met her (color) eyes with a bright green.
"Yeah..." She said, looking down. She was still in her clothe from the night before, her heels next to her. She was sat in a bed. The sun creeped through the broken blinds, casting odd shapes onto the floor.
"Everyone left, you didn't wake up though." He laughed,
"Like a rock.""Yeah." She said, laughing forced. She rubbed her head and threw her feet over the edge.
"Here," He said, handing her two Advil and a glass of water.
"I slept on the couch by the way.""Thanks." She said, smiling at the slightly awkward man. He was at least six feet tall, which added to his awkward stance. He had kind eyes through, and seemed to have good intentions along with it.
"Your almost as tall as my brother. Not quite though." She commented, downing the Advil. He raised an eyebrow.
"Really? Never met anyone much taller than me." He joked, smiling goofily at her.
"Yeah, you never met Luther though." She said, pulling another cigarette out of seemingly no where. God, she could never escape them could she. Even she herself found their names constantly escaping her mouth."Id like to see this Luther then." He said, turning to sit on the folding chair near the bed. It was her turn to raise an eyebrow.
"Yeah, well you can't for a while. He's stationed on the moon." She added, cigarette hanging out of her mouth. He laughed, before cutting it short with sight of her static expression.
"Your not joking." He stated, watching her fall back onto the mattress and close her eyes once more. Much like the night before, except this time she didn't bang her head.
"Nope." She continued, rubbing her temples in attempt to rid the hangover out of her head.
"Wow. A mystery." He stated, hearing her flat laugh sound. It sounded sarcastic, but she could tell he was genuinely interested.
"Why are you still in here?" She asked almost mockingly. He instantly got awkward again, standing and knocking the chair over, and shuffling to pick it up.
"S-sorry! I can leave if you want!" He said, cheeks pink. She sat back up, meeting his forest green eyes once more.
"I'm (Name)." She said, holding a polished hand out. He smiled, rubbing the back of his neck as he walked over.
"I'm Brian." He said, shaking her hand. She stood, picking her heels up as she walked out of the room, Brain closely trailing behind.
"This place is trashed." She laughed, seeing the disaster left in his lake house from the party,
"You live here?" She asked, walking to the fridge."No actually, this is my uncles place. It was my buddy's birthday yesterday and I let him use it." He answered, watching the girl shuffle through his fridge. She settled with a box of cereal,
"Some buddy he is." She said through a mouthful of lucky charms,
"Also, who puts cereal in the fridge.""Making yourself at home?" He mumbled as she jumped up on the counter, causing multiple beer cans to fall to the floor.
"Yeah, well consider it payment for me helping you clean the place up." She said, throwing cereal at his chest. He looked taken aback for a moment, narrowing his eyes at the girl wearing a wrinkled party dress.
"Yeah, why not. Don't have much else to do." She added, voice trailing off as she looked down toward the floor.
