Although Jack knew that Gabriella was probably sleeping, he still wanted to FaceTime her and apologize for today. Test, he did read all her messages, even the goodnight one, but he got to scared to reply. When they FaceTimed yesterday, that was the first time in a long time where he felt something. He got scared, the last relationship he was in he was the on who ended up getting hurt; she cheated on him multiple times with the same person without him ever finding out.
How he found out was through the other guy himself, confessing everything they have been doing for the past three months. Even though that was almost 3 years ago, he's scared it'll happen again. Sure, he's met other girls who had sparked something inside of him nothing like Gabriella tho. He's not really sure why or how because he's only met her a couple days ago-- but she's just different, as cliché as that may sound.
All the other boys were in their rooms while he was in the dining room, propped down on a chair and staring down at his phone. Even tho Jack doesn't want a relationship, he wants to still talk to her. She was so easy to talk to, she got his jokes and she got his.
He grew some balls and unlocked his phone, going to the FaceTime app and without hesitation, clicking on Gabriella's name. It rang and rang and rang. He was hoping she wasn't too mad at him, but he knew she might just be. Plus, she might even be sleeping considering it's around two in the morning for her.
