My names Ella Saltprom, I'm the nerd of my school. I'm not week though, as all the people who've tried to bully me have learnt. All my teachers and family members love me it's just the people my age don't. I have one friend though, she's the out spoken writer of our year. It's quite sad that she's not noticed, because behind her long black hair and her baggy clothes, she is gorgeously beautiful. Her names Tiffany Rainsteel. The rest of our school is a mess of multiculturalism. We have the nerds and the geeks, the jocks and the cheerleaders, the suck-ups and the backstabbing bitches. Tiff and I hangout with the theatre geeks, the musos and the nobodies. I love everyone I hangout with because we have the same feelings about what others think of us, we don't care.
It's another ghastly day at school, oh joy. Except this day ended up to be different. I chuck on my favorite jeans and my 'AC-DC' top and my worn in converses. My long, curly dark brown hair unravels itself from my hair band and bathes my face in hair. I brush through the tangles to find my fair skinned face staring back at me in my dirty mirror. I make my lunch, grab my books and shove it all into my bag and off I go to school.
I am brutally mobbed by the others that go to my school as I make my way onto the bus. 'Hey emo girl' yells one of the many imbeciles that are in my year. I turn around to see the caveman with a smug grin on his face. I give him an icy glare as I start to speak. ' Oh I'm sorry dumbass, did I do something wrong by stepping on this bus today, or did you do something wrong by messing with me?'. Suddenly he looks away and sits down on the bus seat behind him. I wasn't normally so cruel, but today wasn't my favorite day of the year, it's the anniversary of my granddad's death. He should know not to mess with the tough nerd.

I get off the mobile prison, and step out into the sun. A smile goes across my face as I spot my best friend flirting with a muso who has dark blue eyes and dark brown dreadlocks. 'Well hey there Tiff, so who's this?'.
I always love teasing her about the guys she likes because I know she'll never have a way to tease me about this subject. 'Hey Ell this is Rick, he's a guitarist, I was just talking to him about a instrumental song he wrote and a poem I wrote'. 'I think we should combine them but she won't show me the poem' Rick interrupts in a cheeky tune. She blushes fearfully, 'Rick, I already told you, I don't show my poems to anyone'. 'Except me' I interrupt. She's afraid no one will like what she writes so she shows me and the hides it under her bed. She glares at me with blazing red cheeks. 'Well Tiff, how about I make a deal, I'll take you out to dinner and a movie tonight and in return you can show me the poem' he says whilst winking at her and slinking his arm around her shoulders. 'Ok' Tiff says in the quietest voice I've ever heard. 'Well come on Tiff lets get to our lockers and official start this fabulous day of torcher' I say whilst smiling. She gives Rick her number and then we go down a few halls and come to a stop at our dingy lockers. 'So Rick seems nice' I say whilst nudging her in the arm. 'He is' Tiff says winking at me. We burst out laughing. 'BRRRIIINNNGGG' The bell sounds signaling we have to go to our first torcher session. We sigh and go our opposite ways. I thought it was going to be a normal lesson, I was wrong.
