That night, back at camp, jimin couldn't sleep. He just didn't understand how the mafia knew they were coming. It just didn't make sense.
He huffed when he realised it was useless to try and sleep. He got out of bed, careful not to wake up his sleeping boyfriend, as he went out of his cabin. The night was exceptionally beautiful. The stars glittered in the sky and the moon shone brighter than them all. Jimin smiled and went towards his favourite tree. He loved sitting under it because it helped him to calm down. The silence comforted him.
Suddenly the quiet atmosphere was broken by the sound of a twig snapping. Jimin's eyes widened as he reached to his back pocket to take out his gun, only to realise that he had forgotten it in his cabin. He was about to scream when suddenly a panicked voice whispered, "it's me, Tan. Don't scream"
"Tan?" Jimin whispered as his friend sat down beside him, "Why are you still awake?"
"Nightmare" he muttered, "You?"
"Mission" jimin replied sadly.
"Oh"
They were silent for a while, just enjoying sitting in peace and watching the night sky.
A few minutes later, jimin realised Tan was staring at him with a sad expression.
"What's wrong?" Jimin questioned Tan.
"It's uhhhh, nothing.... Just a thought, forget it" Tan replied hurriedly.
"You can tell me.... I'm your friend right?"
Tan sighed. This was going to be difficult. But jimin had to know.
" it's just that isn't it odd that your plan failed? Only you and Jungkook knew it but still the mafia seemed to know it too."
"I know, it's really weird"
"Maybe....." Tan trailed off.
"Maybe what?"
"Maybe.... Jungkook is helping them. I mean-"
"That's not possible. How can you say that?!" Jimin was angry. How could Tan accuse his boyfriend, Jungkook, of betraying him?!
"Well.... he's really mysterious and the mafias didn't shoot him and let you two run away. It was like they were purposefully letting you go."
"This..... this is not possible."
"It's the only logical reason" Tan said shrugging.
"I.... I - I don't believe you.... Just go away" jimin shouted.
Tan said nothing and left. Even thought jimin tried his hardest not to care about what Tan said, a seed of doubt had been planted in his mind. Would Jungkook really betray his own boyfriend, his own country?
