Chapter six

Damien's pov

We had been driving down a dirt road for about 5 minutes when we came up to a drive way surrounded by forest, we drove for another minute before we reached a beautiful log cabin. We hopped out of the car and walked up to the door to see it slightly ajar. I pushed it open to see Serenity passed out on he floor, though I could hear her heartbeat shes alive. "Call 911!" I yelled.  

"Wait it might be magic." Ron said walking over waving his hand over her body with his eyes closed. "Just as I expected magically induced coma. Which means someone knows something and they don't want her to stop it." he said picking her up and laying her on the couch.

"Okay so what do we do?" Anthony asked looking at some spell books scattered across the table. "Hey guys this on has a page ripped out of it." Ron rushed over and looked at the book. 

"This was someone else's does she refused to take pages out of her spell books. We need to figure out who did his, she is family they cant get away with this." 

Well ruby is automatically not an option. Suddenly being cured was not important to me at all all I cared about was finding who did this to my family and making sure they don't hurt anybody else. I walked over to her altar and smelled blood I looked down to see someones blood on the ground and it was vampire blood. Someone knew about the cure, I think I might know who. 

"I know who did this. I can stop him but I will need help." I said looking up at Ron. "There was a boy in the cult who was turned by our prime and sired to him. When I killed our prime he became sired to me he probably has been on my tail this whole time and I didn't know. I'm so so sorry." I said dropping to my knees. I couldn't believe this, I put so many people in danger just by being. 

"I want to help." Anthony said.

"NO! I am not going to risk you getting hurt... not again." I said. Anthony came and crouched beside me pushing my chin up to look him in the face. I could't help it a tear slipped from my eye. He moved his hand up onto my cheek and wiped my tear with the pad of his thumb. 

"Then turn me." he said and my breathing stopped "Turn me into a vampire let me help you your all I have now." his eyes started watering. 

"No I can't put that burden on you." I said because truthfully if i had the option I would have stayed human. 

"Well I don't care I am coming with you anyway." he said standing up and putting a hand out to help me which I gladly took. 

"Well do you know where this boy might be?" Ron asked.

"He probably isn't too far I mean this blood is warm."  I said wiping my finger on a cloth and throwing it in the sink.  

"Well lets get to it." Ron said walking out into the car. I turned to Anthony so much emotion running through our bodies. I walked up to him and hugged him tight I didn't want to let go. 

He pulled away looking up at me as a tear streamed down his face. "I l-love you." he said his voice straining from holding back tears. 

"I love you too." I said only to be interrupted but a blow to the back of my head. I turned around to see an old man with a frying pan. "What the fuck." I said. 

"Who are you and what have you done to her." he said his voice shaking. 

"Sir I am her son I came here and just found her like this." I said making myself cry so he would believe me. He reached up and pulled me into a hug. 

"Listen son it will be alright don't worry." he was speaking with sincerity. 

"Okay well we have to go I am going to take her to the hospital." I said picking her up and carrying her out to the car laying her across the back seat with her head on my lap.

Anthony's pov

We pulled up to the ER and carried Serenity inside. "Help help my stepmom is unconscious." Damien yelled she was instantly taken from us and put in the ICU. "Well now we know shell be safe." he said as we walked to the waiting room so it doesn't seem suspicious. 

The doctor walked out and called us over into a smaller room, he asked us to sit down and prepare ourselves. "Okay boys, so Serenity is in a coma and we cannot find the cause after doing extensive tests so we need to keep her in the ICU." We acted upset even though we knew that was what was gonna happen.

"Okay well you guys need to keep her safe and only let us in she has some obsessive and creepy stalker people who have been harassing her." Damien said. 

They wheeled her away and told us to go home and get rest considering it was like 12 in the morning. 

We walked out to the car and me and Damien climbed into the back seat, as we drove down the road I reflected on the past two days. It seems crazy everything that has happened but it feels right. I feel like I am where I should be now. 

Damien scooted over to me pulling me into him arms. I melted into his touch. I felt safe with him, its has been a long time since I have felt safe. We both slowly drifted to sleep in each others arms.
