Damien's POV
"Damien if you're late for my class one more time I'm going to have to get you parents involved." Mr whatever his name is said as I walked into his class twenty minutes late.
"Do as you wish." I said flashing a bright smile and mimicking a hat tip.
"I don't think you under stand Damien your parents will not be thrilled to get a call about you missing school." the teacher continued. he always did try to play Mr goody mentor of all beings.
"Sir I can assure you they will not care one bit." I said while watching the teachers face turn redder.
"Now Damien I suggest you choose your next words wisely or I will call your parents right now." he said now with his hand on my desk and his face about two feet away from me.
I sat straight up and got inches from his face and said very slowly "You see sir... you could call my parents right here right now.... or you could leave this be..." by this point his face was beat red and he was clenching his fists so hard his knuckles were white. "Because they don't have cell phones.... because what use is having a cell phone when your dead."
I swear all the color drained from his face and he nodded following with a "I'm sorry son that must be really hard to cope with." I just leaned back and smiled as he continued his lesson.
So you may be wondering why did I announce to the whole class that my parents are dead. Was it for attention or was it for pity from my teacher. Its actually quite weird. I am a vampire and i love messing with people because I can hear their heart beat and I can smell their sweat so I know exactly how I'm affecting them. It's fun to say the least.
Class flew by pretty fast considering I was on my phone the whole time and before I knew it class was over and I was allowed to leave.
I was walking home from school and stopped by Andy's coffee shop I walked in getting a coffee and leaving. The coffee shop is on the corner of an intersection and when I exited the building I saw a boy who I recognized from school waiting at the corner. He has fluffy hair that was dyed a deep red that covered his left eye. I proceeded forward stopping beside him to wait for the signal that says we can walk.
When the lights changed we started walking when I heard foot steps followed by a voice behind us. I turned around and saw Johnathan Selomin jogging towards us.
"Hey freak don't ignore me or you'll get it." he yelled as me and the boy got to the other side of the sidewalk.
The boy turned around and asked "What do you want this time Johnathan?" he asked sounding annoyed but afraid.
"I just wanna know why you killed you sister you fag like you should really stop coming to school your scaring the kids." Johnathan said right before grabbing the collar of the boys shirt and punching him in his left eye and then his stomach causing the boy to fall to the ground.
"You should not have done that." I said in a low angry tone right before punching his in the jaw, causing him to groan in pain as he became visibly terrified. I looked him in the eyes and said "You will not ever ouch that boy again or so help me god I will kill you with my own two hands. Now you are going to leave and never think about hurting him again." he repeated what I had said back to me and turned around and left as if nothing had happened.
I looked down at the boy on the ground who was staring us at me in shock. "Um here get up." I said offering up a hand which he gladly took and stood up. "How is your eye?" I asked as I tried to move his hair only for him to stop me.
"It's fine." he said quietly.
"It can't be he just punched you." I said this time grabbing his chin and moving his hair only to see a slightly bruising eye that had a scar from from the front of his eyebrow to his cheek bone and his eyeball was completely white.I ran my thumb over the scar as a tear rolled down his cheek can he pulled away, only proceeding to cover the mark up with him hair once again.
"Please don't hurt me." he said his voice sounding inaudible as he was very clearly scared. I didn't understand though he was just a little different, why would I hurt him?
"I would never do such a thing. I'm different too, come with me ill show you." I said waving him over to a less populated side street so others wouldn't see. He cautiously followed me keeping his distance as he thought I would hurt him.
Once we were far enough away from all the other people I turned around and he stopped dead in his tracks. I walked towards him slowly so he didn't feel like he was in danger.
"I'm going to show you something but you have to promise you wont judge me." I said slowly.
"Why would I judge you when I look like this." he said quietly crossing his arms across his stomach in a defensive stance.
I proceeded to unzip my sweater slightly and pull it off of the shoulder to show the scar from the bite of the vampire that turned me. His eyes went wide and his body language relaxed.
"Is that why you wear sweaters all the time. I thought you self harmed or something I was worried." he said moving closer running his fingers over the scar.
"we both have things to hide your not alone." I said pushing his hair out of his face only to have him push it right back.
"I'm sure you want to go back to your friends now." he said turning to walk away, I grabbed his arm to stop him.
"I don't have any friends." I said "Your interesting I want to know you." I continued wanting him to stay.
"What do you mean you have no friends everyone in school knows you." he said looking shocked.
"They know me, that doesn't mean they like me."
"Well the girls seem to like you quite a lot I'm surprised you don't have a girlfriend." he said seeming to get relaxed.
"They aren't really my type." I said I'm not out to anybody and I don't plan to be any time soon.
"I should probably go now I don't want you to be seen with me and get attacked because of it bye it was nice meeting you... um I didn't get your name." he said turning around.
"I'm Damien, but let me get you a coffee I'm not scared of those jerks." I said and he turned around smiling and offering up his hand.
"I'm Anthony it's n-nice to meet you." he said and we made our way to the coffee shop talking about school.
