I go onto the job website and I have one message in my inbox - huh ... Thought I'd be blowing up over here

It said basically hi I'm Matt - were looking for a sound engineerer in out studio - we were wondering if you had any experience and were available to help us out as a fill-in position this Thursday
(It's Tuesday)

Ummm i mean - I can be asking engineer - maybe I should be more specific - but I swear I said full-time job ?

And ... Yep I did

Well whatever a jobs a job but I reall thought I'd just get a job from someone , this is gonna be harder than I thought

I get to the studio , it's about a 25 minute walk , I decided to walk since I did literally nothing yesterday but freak out and try some my CV to EVERY company looking for a editor , sound engineer , even a drummer (I can also play drums) and just about anything - I'm fucked what was I thinking!?

I get there are press the buzzer outside

Oh ye we had another person apply , Matt just said yes to both to ensure someone would be here , you'd be surprised how many people don't

I set up the mics , the guys are really ignorant most of the time and get "soooo bored of the stupid sound check"

News flash mate - wanna be in a band and perform on big stages , get the FUCK used to it

There song wasn't bad but there drummer was shit , could NOT keep in time AT all

I finish helping them record 8 songs and then they leave takes 8 hours but it's done

Ughhh

Now I remember why I became a video editor

I hang back and talk to Rebecca for abit , and end up telling her my situation but anyway she gives me a number for this company looking for new people , editors and allsorts of things aparently they recently moved and need new people

Atleast I got something

Plus no flex but a hefty pay check from that audioteeeeerin

Apparently there thing was having all there stuff unmastered and just fresh from the studio , that's why they highered me because I sound professional

Also in video editing
Sound engineer degree
And I'm a drummer

I have a car and licence obviously
Flexible on time (never not free honestly)
Decent social

Not looking for any particular scene just like to do a bunch of different stuff and be helpful were ever I can
