The Call Part 2

After I jumped in bed my father busted through my door and shoved a case off my dresser causing it to shatter all over the floor. Great what now.

"Come here cunt." My father growls at me.

I silently tremble but obey him because I know it'll be worse if I don't.

*smack* 1.. 2.. 3.. across the face. I silently cry as he yells before leaving the house completely.

I grab my phone to check the time. Horror floods my mind as I remember... I never hung up on Matt. He was still on the line. But was quiet as ever....

"No. No. No." I silently cry and curse myself for being so idiotic. Then the line goes dead and his name disappears from my screen. I crawl into bed given the fact that it's like 2 am. And I'm physically and mentally exhausted.

•three days later•

I haven't heard from Matt and my dad hasn't came home. It's kind of a win loose situation. Then to interrupt my train of thought a knock at the door startles me.

I open it to see none other my boyfriend. He looks different. His hair is flat across his forehead, he has bags under his eyes and he looks like he's been crying.

"Matt. Babe.. Are you...." I begin to say only being cut off by Matt saying

"No are you okay? I heard him hit you Makenzye. And you're leaving with me NOW."

"I can't just leave. What if he comes back?" I say beginning to chew my bottom lip. (Which is my nervous habit)

"Fuck him. We'll change your number and you can stay with me. Please baby I can't stand to see you like this anymore. Runaway with me." He begged. You looked into his exhausted, sleep deprived eyes only to find yourself mesmerized. How could you say no to him?

"Okay let's go I never unpacked, we can stop by my apartment right?"

"Of course." He simply says before leading me out of this horror house.
