Being held up and choked against the wall of an alley by a gorilla man wasn't the best way to start your day in a new town, but maybe the town's welcome party is different than others.

No. This guy is definetly trying to kill you.

Your breath is rapidly decreasing as the gorilla man started squeezing tighter. You scratch at his meaty hand, hopelessly trying to pry him off. Your eyes begin to collect little stars in their vision and your body becomes numb. Slowly slipping from consciousness you don't feel your body hitting the dirty ground or see the man who had just saved you.

Light creeped into your eyes as they fluttered open. White sat in your eyesight as far as you could see.

You were in a hospital. You don't know how you got here, but you were laying in a hospital bed. As you tried to sit up, your neck burned in agony, as if threatening your stillness. As you situated yourself back into a lying position, the door opened to reveal a nurse.

She seemed surprised to see you conscious, but relief soon took hold of that surprise. She approached you and introduced herself.

"Hello, sir. My name is Janice. You were dropped off a few hours ago, but seeing as you're awake, you must be doing better. Are you feeling better?"

Confusion flushed through your system. Someone dropped you off? Who could've done that? The last thing you remember is the gorilla man attacking you and choking you while you were on your way to your new job.

Oh no.

Your new job!

"Yes miss I'm feeling better, but I was supposed to be at my new job today and I need this job!" The desperate tone in your voice was enough for Janice to pay you on the shoulder with a reply.

"Don't worry sweetheart. Since you were attacked by a supervillain and brought in by a superhero-". You interrupt, baffled.

"A superhero brought me in? What superhero?"

Janice sighs as if this is a daily occurrence, "Savior brought you in. He intercepted the bad guy who was trying to cut off your breathing. He left right after, saying he had to be somewhere. Plus your work won't be mad at you as supervillain attacks are a common situation. If you want I can have a secretary call your workplace to inform them." She informs and offers.

You nod and she leaves the room.

Fifteen minutes later she comes back in and says, "The secretary is calling and the doctor has ordered you stay here for a few more hours to make sure you stay okay."

You nod again and again she leaves.

Here you sit in a bland hospital room, yearning to leave and jump in your covers. Maybe read a good book or watch Netflix.

It's several hours later, at the hour of four pm, when you're released from your boring cage. You decide to call your work place as well to make sure everything was clear.

As you dialed the number you scratched the bandage around your neck and thought about how strange it was that the nurse didn't even seem surprised that you were attacked. This must happen on the daily.

"This is March Hare High School. How may I help you?" A voice of a woman pulled you from your thoughts.

You willed yourself yo answer without screwing up. "Ah, yes. Hello. I'm Y/n L/n and I am the new maths teacher, but ended up in the hospital. The hospital itself was supposed to call you, but I was just checking in to make sure I still have my job." You laugh awkwardly.

The woman on the line answers quickly. "Oh yes! Mr. L/n! Don't fret, your job is still in tact. The school completely understands why you weren't able to make it today. If you're feeling okay tomorrow feel free to come."

After thanking her and informing her you will be there tomorrow, you head off in the direction of your apartment.

Around a block or two away from your complex building, something lands right in front of you.

It's a man... In a white superhero suit that covers his body and the lower half of his face.

You freeze, confused by his presence and what he so desperately needs to get between you and Netflix.
