Chapter 22

Daniel
Nia and I have been hanging out everyday. She became my bestfriend. She was always there for me unlike my other friends.

"Hey Daniel, there's pizza in the cafeteria! C'mon before we ran out!", she dragged me. I smiled at her eagerness. She really liked italian foods.

"Calm down Nia!", I chuckled. She just pouted.   I dont actually see something special about the pizza in our school. It is bland and taste like bread with ketchup and cheese but Nia likes it so I guess they did something right.

"How come you get to have 2 slices and I only have 1?", I pouted.

"Because you always complain about how shitty their pizza is.", she chuckled. We are sitting together at the cafeteria. My friends are nowhere to be found. I'm not disappointed tho. It means more time with Nia.

"Hey Daniel, so since we have no school tomorrow up until the next tuesday, would you like to come with our family? We would visit Jeju!", she said enthusiastically. I smiled at her cuteness. She gets very excited about things easily.

"Uh, yeah sure. I'll ask my parents if I could come. I could use a break from all these dramas and shit I'm involved in.", I shrugged. She smiled and plunged at me.

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! I was nervous about asking you since I dont know if you will even agree.", she said while hugging me. I hugged her back and laughed. I could get used to this.

I am now packing my bags for tomorrow. My parents agreed on me coming along with Nia's family. I was putting my pants when I heard my phone ring.

Minhyun is calling...

"Yo dude! I didn't know you and Nia are together! Since when?", he basically shouted. I cringed at the loudness of his voice.

"We are not. I'm finding the right time to ask her out. I think she's the one hyung.", I smiled.

"Pshh, you say that everytime!"

"No hyung, this is serious! I actually like her.", I smiled again. Just thinking about her makes me smile.

"Whatever you say man! Hey, there's a new wing diner in town! Would you like to come?"

"Oh, sorry hyung, but I already have plans. I'll spend this mini vacation with Nia's family."

"Woah woah woah, so you're not even together but you're already meeting her parents?"

"She invited me! Plus, I am actually thinking of asking her out in Jeju."

"So you're having a vacation in Jeju? Goodluck bro"

"Thanks hyung! Hey, I need to go now. I still need to pack my bags. Bye hyung."

"Bye bro!"

I ended the call and started packing again.

"We're finally here!", I heard Nia squeal. She is so excited for this trip. Cute. I carried her things and placed it in the car. The car ride was not long since their house was just near.

"So you must be Daniel? Nia talks a lot about you. She has the biggest crush on you.", her mom said. I blushed and Nia groaned.

"Mom!"

"What? You already confessed right? What's the difference.", her mom smiled.

We went inside their house. Nia said that my room would be next to hers since there is an extra room.

"So, me and your father would do some grocery shopping. Nia, take care of the house. Daniel, watch Nia for us. We would be back in a bit. Do you guys want something?", her mom asked. I can see that her father is eyeing me.

"Ohh! Buy me gummy bears!", Nia squealed.

"How about you Daniel?"

"Oh, uh anything would be fine.", I smiled. Nia and I are the only ones left in the house. Nia said that she would take a quick shower since she felt 'dirty and disgusting'. I nodded and went to my room. My room is quite big. A twin sized bed, a big cabinet, a big window and also a table and a chair. As I laid down the bed, I heard something outside. I looked through the window and saw someone who fell in his bike. He looked like he bought groceries since a pile of vegetables and fruits are scattered. He doesn't look Korean either. I just shrugged and went back to bed. I decided to take a nap while waiting for Nia's "shower".

While waiting for Ben to arrive, I heard something outside. I went to check it out and saw Ben laying on the grass with his groceries scattered. His bike is on top of him. Shit. I ran over to him and helped him. I immediately helped him stan up and helped him walk inside. He has scratches in each knee. I helped him walk to the bathroom for the first aid kit.

"Does it hurt? What a stupid question of course it does!", I said. I got the first aid kit and applied alcohol to a cotton ball.

"Shit shit!", Ben squealed.

"Oh my god sorry!"

"It's fine ahh, just continue.", Ben said. I continued applying alcohol on his wound and put a gauze in each wound.

"Hey, uhh, thank you Ong.", Ben said looking in my eyes.

"Uhh, it's no problem Ben.", I said while looking in his eyes. This is the first time I am able to look at his beautiful eyes this close. I don't know how long we were staring at each other, but I was caught off guard when I felt his lips on my lips. What also caught me off guard was when I closed my eyes and kissed him back.
