17- Old Cousins and Getting Back

ALLYS POV

I ran out the doors and through the parking lot.

Ethan brought me here. Shoot.

I continued to run down the street. It was fall time, and luckily I had my sweatshirt on. I put the hood over my head and ran down the street some more.

Then I saw a starbucks and ran in.

"Hello welcome to Starbucks. How may I help you today?" the lady asked. "Get me a... grande vanilla bean frapeccino."

"Okay is that all- hey, don't I know you from somewhere?" she asked.

"Hmm, you look really familiar..." I said.

She gasped. "Ally?" she said,

"Bailey?" I asked,

"Oh my god, it's been forever!" she said. She's my cousin and I haven't seen her in, like, a year and a half.

"Yeah, what're you doing here?"

"Oh, Tanner hasn't told you? We're going to college together!" They're both twenty and decided when they were like 6 to go to college together.

"What? No, she didn't tell me! Wow, that'll be cool."

"Yeah, what are you doing here in Canada?"

"Oh mom, dad, and I are moving here."

"Oh my god, thats awesome!! So," she paused and looked in my eyes. "I hear that you're dating that cute famous guy, Shawn."

My face dropped. My eyes started to water. "Oh I see... we'll talk about this later." She must've saw my eyes water.

I nodded my head. "Okay a grande vanilla bean frapuccino coming right up," she said.

"Wow... that must be tough." Bailey said. I just told her the whole story of Shawn and Ethan and Emma.

We were sitting at the park watching the sun set.

"Don't look now..." she said and pointed to the entrance of the park.

I squinted and saw...

"Is that him?" I gulped and nodded.

He must've come here for a walk, because he started to walk around the park.

We were sitting on a bench on the side of the trail. I looked down and told Bailey to start talking.

"Oh yeah it was awesome. Everyone from school was there. Too bad you're grandmother died and you had to go to a funeral."

Shawn stopped. "Oh I'm sorry for you're lost, are you okay?" he said. I nodded my head not looking up.

"Ya sure? Hey, what the?.. Is that... my shirt?"

I looked at my shirt. Shit.

"Ohh... Shawn. Hey..."

"Ally?! Oh my god! I'm so sorry, please I can explain everything! Please please please give me a chance! And- I didn't know your grandmother died,"

"She didn't, and you have 30 seconds."

"Oh thank you so much. Thanks for letting me expl-"

"20 seconds."

"Oh, iwasjustgettingdressedandthenEmmacameinandIsaidhellothenshwalkedinandstartedaconversationandthenshekissedmeandwouldntletmepullawayandthenyoucameinandeverythingturnedmad," he said really fast. (I was just getting dressed and then Emma came in and I said hello and then she walked in and started a conversation and then kissed me and wouldn't let me pull away and then you came in and everything turned mad,)

"Whoa, okay, okay. That was fast, but I understood it. Are you sure?"

"Yes absolutely positive. Cross my heart and hope to die. Put my hand on the bibl-"

"I believe you."

"Ohhh, so you two getting back together?" Bailey asked

"Excuse me, umm... who are you?"

"Oh, Shawn this is Bailey, my cousin. and Bailey, this is Shawn."

"Well someone needs to ask me out first."

"Hmm... I dunno. How about me and you hang out later. How bout my place?"

I tapped my chin. "Sure."

"Okay, dress casual."
