16- Ethan

ALLY'S POV

"Yeah, then she ran down the hall singing For the First Time in Forever." I said as we laughed our heads off.

It's been a day since what happened with Shawn and Emma.

Me and Ethan were hanging out at the mall.

"Listen, Ally. I really like you. A lot. I would never hurt you, ever."

I looked up and looked him in the eyes. "I-I don't know if I'm ready to move on yet."

"I understand. I'll give you time, but when you are ready, you know where to find me." I laughed, since he lives right next door to me.

He embraced me in a hug and we stayed in that position for like 3 minutes. He pulled away and looked into my eyes. The next thing I knew, his lips were against mine.

SHAWN'S POV

I was walking down the mall with my hood and sunglasses on so no fans would notice me. And so no one could see my face.

I was a wreck. I've been torn down ever since what happened with Ally yesterday.

I sat down on a bench and sipped my Icee. I looked around and got outraged at what I saw.

Ethan, my best friend, hugging Ally, my (as much as this hurts) ex. She texted me last night saying we're over. They hugged for a while and I was pretty mad/sad/jealous.

Then I threw my glasses off and took off my hood and ran over to them when he kissed her.

I couldn't let him do this to her. He was known as the player at my school. He'd date a girl for like a week and a half and then dump her.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" I yelled.

"Shawn?! What are you doing here, you're not even her boyfriend!"

"Yeah but you can't just kiss her!"

"You messed up, and I just can't stand to see such a nice, beautiful girl be hurt,"

I rolled my eyes. "You have broken multiple hearts and I won't let Ally be one of them!"

"W-what?" she said.

"Ally, Ethan is the player at my school. He breaks every girl's heart every chance he gets."

"Well, I would never do that to Ally. S-she's too nice and I would never leave her," he said putting his arm around her waist.

I couldn't take it anymore. I had heard her say she wasn't ready to move on, so I know she's not dating him.

I stepped closer to him. "Shawn, Ethan, stop it!" Ally said stepping between us.

"You're both really nice, but Shawn, you really hurt me, and Ethan, I'm not ready for relationship. Just both of you, leave me alone,"

And with that, she ran past all the people in the food court and out the door.

"We screwed up." we both said.
