Light's pov
So it turns out River was only trying to hook Sky and Lola up, though surprisingly her plan was okay border lining tragic teen romance movie. It would probably work though considering Lola and Sky where so pathetically in love, I mean it's obvious and everyone knows it. Well except them of course and if they knew they were never going to admit it. So River invited all of our friends and decided we were going to play one massive game of man hunt, the catch you had to hide in pairs. Of course she had already planned a head and got her dad in on this, he was going to pick the pairs.
"Okay guy as the building has just been renovated all of the tenants are in the south building which means you can basically hide where ever you want. Now Mariah and Nick will be it, Sky and Lola are a pair, Lyric and Lyle, Courtney and Oliver, River and Light......" he kept naming off pairs but all I could think was I got River, this should be interesting. River just smiled and winked at me. "Okay you have 3 minutes before Mariah and Nick come for you, and go!"
"Follow me." River said. I thought it might be smart I mean this is her family's building she probably knows it better than I do. We ran the opposite direction as everyone else till we came to a dead end.
"Where are we supposed to go from here?" I asked knowing we only had a minute left. She just looked at me and smiled moving the painting to reveal a key pad; it looked like it was meant for maintenance work. She pushed the code and a door opened revealing stairs. We walked up the stairs and climbed into the rafters. There building was open concept with exposed ceilings so you could see the pipes and rafters but we were past what you would normally see.
"From here we can spy and hide at the same time. My brother knows about this place he just doesn't ever remember the code or remember where to find the door."
"What is this place?" I asked as we crawled along.
"Oh it just something so it's easier to inspect the building, but also a great place to chill." She said stopping and pointing down. When I looked she motioned for me to do so quietly. What I saw was Lola and Sky almost on top of each other on the top shelves of a closet.
Lola's pov
Oh god oh go its cramped and dark and I am a millimetre away from Sky's face. THIS IS TORCHER. No Lola you have to calm down. Damn my feelings it's so hard just not to kiss him now I mean it would be so easy. I know it was his idea to climb up here but really how stupid was I to agree and when they find us I am NEVER going hear the end.
"Hey Lola, what are you thinking about?" Sky whispered. Oh that's easy it's you, but there was zero chance I would tell him that. So I went for the slightly less embarrassing but still pretty mortifying answer.
"I am afraid of the dark." I whispered looking anywhere but at him. Suddenly i felt an arm rap around my waste and i looked up into his eyes. The next thing i new his lip's where on mine.
